' • ' RESOLUTION NO. 2552 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED AND UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY IN THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA, STATE QF CALIFORNIA, CONTIG- UOUS TO THE CITY OF PALO ALTO DESIGNATED AS "SAN ANTONIO ROAD ANNEXATION NO. 3,11 AND GIVING NOTICE OF TI.ME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PRVl'ES'.rS THE~TO. WH.ll.!.EAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri- tory Act c·f 1939, 11 there has been prenent.ed to the Council of tne Cj_ty o.f Palo Alto a 'petition exec11ted by Paul Laning requesting the annexation of that certain territory situated in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron bar set at the point of inter- section of the center line of Middlefield Road, with the center line of San Antonio Road, as said Roads are shown upon that certa:1..n Map entitled "Record of Survey of a Portion of that 42.27 acre tract, as described in the ~ecree of Distribution in the Mat- ter or the B~tate of John Miller to Herta Miller re~ corded October 7, 1937, Volume 849 o. R. page 61, Santa Clara County Records, 11 which Map was filed 1'c:1r . record in the office of the 'Recorder of the Coun~y of Santa Clara, State ~f California, on April 24, 1947, in Book 14 of Maps, at page 19; running thence South 18° 21' 1011 West and along the said center line of San Antonio Road, 506.74 feet to a 3/4 inch iron pipe; thence leaving the said center 11i.e of San Antonio Road and running South 71• 38 1 50 11 East 330.00 feet to the true point of beginning of this descrip~io~; running thence from said true point of beginning Southerly, en a c'.lrve to the right, con- centric with and distant Easterly 330.00 feet from the said center line of San Antonio Road.t with a radius of 3330.00 feet, for a distance of 485 feet, more or less, to a point on the Southwes.terly line of that certain tract of land describc-d in the Deed fr-om Frank S. Cal~.fornia, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning reE1l property wit'bin the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Palo Alto and having uny objections to tbe proposed annexation may appear befc>re the Co:mcil cit the City of Palo Al to and show cause why s1Jch ·uninhabited. t:erri tory should not be so annexed to said City of Palo Alto. Such protest must be in wr1 ting, may be filed at any time be!fOre the hour set for hearing objections t1:J the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property ..lffected and the description and a1-ea of such property in general terms. Section 5. '!he Clty Cl1~rk or the City of Palo Alto is hereby authorized and directed to cauf!e a copy of this resolu- tion to be published a't least twice, but rot oftener than once, a week in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general circula- tion published in said City of Palo Alto, the city to which it . .:. ... proposed to annex ·~he aforesaid territory, and also in the Scu1 Jose Mt:rcury, a newspaper of general circulation published 1::>utside the City -=>f Palo Alto, but in the County o::' Santa Clara, Cal1forn1a, the county in which io located ttie territory ~reposed to be annexed to the City, said publication to be com- ~lete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hear- ing.
