• RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER1 .
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY 0::.? PALO ALTO, TO
ACCEPT ALL DEEDS A.~ GRANTS CONVEYING ANY
INTEREST IN OR EASEMENT UPON REAL ESTATE
TO THE CITY OF PALO ALTO, AND TO CONSENT
TO THEIR RECORDATION.
WHEREAS, Sec. 27281 of the Government Code of the s;.,ate of
California provides that deeds or grantf; conveying any intel"eSt in
or easement upon real estat·e to a pol1tj.cal corporation or govern-
mental agency for public purposes shall not be acceptable for re~or
dation without the consent of the grantE~e evidenced by its resolu-
tion of acceptance attached to said deecl or grant deed; and
WHEREAS, s!id sect:ton further provides that an officer or
agent of a municipal corporation may, by resolution, be authorized
to consent to such ~eeds or giants;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Clty of Palo Alto does resolve
as follows:
1. That the City Manager be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to ac.:cept, for and in behalf' of the City of Palo Alto, all
deeds and grants conveying any interest in or easement upon real
estate to the Gity of Palo llto, and to consent to their recordation.
2. That the City• Clerk certify to 1;he adoption of this resolu-
tion and that a copy thereof be attached to each suchdeed or grant
presented for recordation.
The 1ibove and foregoing resolution \'ras duly and regularly intro-
duced and passed by the Counoil of the C:ity of Palo A!to at a regu-
lar meeting held on Monday, the 28th clay of June , 1954, by
the following vote:
