RESOLUTlON ORDERING ABANDONMENT OF EASEMENT uVER
PORTIOn OF THE 11 MAYFIELD OUTFALL SEWER" IN LOT 119,
C. M. WOOSTER COMPANY'S SUBDIVISION OF THE CLARKE RANCH
WHEREAS, the Council of the City ~f Palo Alto did~ ~n the
12th day of April, 1954, pass 1 ts Resolution -of Inte .. 11t ion
No~ 2523 to abandon an easement over the following described
property in the City of Palo Alto, Co~nty of Santa Clara, State
of California:
and
Beg;IJming at a point on the Southwesterly line
of Louis Road, 60' wide, distant N. 52° w. ~ereon
20.00 feet rr.om the most Southeasterly lir.a or
Lot 119, Map of c. M. wooster Company's Subdlvisior..
of the Clarke Ranch, recordea November 11, 1912, in
Book 1101' of Maps at page 16, Records of Santa Clara
County, California, which point is also upon the
Souti~easterly line of an easement for the so-called
11 Mayfie:JQ Outfall Sewer11 as created by (1) Deed from
J. J. Morris and Marian B. Morris, his wife, dated
December 4, 1909, and recorded .Cecember 23, 1909, in
Bool< :352 of Deeds at page 446; (2) Deed from W. B.
Nash and Susan Nash, his wife; J. c. Campbell, W. H.
Meths~~m, F. c. Drew, C. H. Oatman and J. A. Mackenzie
to the Town of Mayfield, dated December 18, 1909, and
recorded Decembe:r 23, 1909, in Book349 of Deeds at
page 367, Records of Santa Clara County; thence N. 52° w. along said Southwesterly line, 14.00•feet to a
point on the Northwe~terly line of said easement;
thence S. 38° w. along said Northwesterly line 529.82
feet to a point upon the Sou~hwesterly line of said
Lot 119; thence S. 52° E. along said Southwesterly line
14.00 feet; thence N. 38° E. 529.82 feet to the point
of becinning, being all or the above described easement
lying within said Lot 1191 C. M. Wooster Company's Sub-
division of the Clarke Ranch;
WHEREAS: pursuant to said resolution, a pub).ic hearing was
held on May 10, 1954; and
WHEREAS, from all of the evidence submitted the Cit~· Cc-;.:ncil
of the City of Palo Alto finds that said easement 8S des~ribed
herein and in said .Resolution of Intention No. 2523 is no longer
necessary for the purpose for which it was .llcquired and dedicated;
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'r RESOLVED that the Council of the City •
of Palo Alto h~reby orders said eas~ment as described herein and
