RESOLUTION NO. 2524
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PALO ALTO ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT
OF A PARK AND RECREA~~ION AREA IN TRACT
NO. 581, LAWRENCE TRACT, IN THE CITY
OF PALO ALTO.
WHEREAS J on the 22nd day of MaJ:-ch, 1954, pursuant to the
Municipal Park Abandonment Law of :'..939, 'che Council of the City
of .Palo Alto did pass and adopt Rescllution No. 2519, giving
n">tice of its intention to abandon a certain park and:recre-,

and
WHEREAS, by said resolution, published in the Palo Alto
Times on April l, 8 and 15, 199~, said Council duly gave notice
of and fixed the 26th day oi' April, 1954, at 7:30p.m., in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, l)alo Alto, California, as the
day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having
any objections to the proposed abandonment may appear before·
said Council and show cause why saicl park and recreation area
should not be abandoned; and
WHEREAS, said Council of s,aid Gity did hear and pa.sa upon
all protests made to said abandonrr.ent'; and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have t)aen in conformity with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved !by theCou:ncil of the City of

Palo Alto:
Section 1. That all objectiOnfl to said abandorunent hereby ·
are overruled.
Section 2. That pursuant to the Mun1C"1pal Park Abandvnment
Law of 1939 that certain parl~ and re~creation area. in the City o.t

Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, here-
inafter described, be Hnd the same hereby is ordered abandoned:
Lot 25 of Tract No. 581, Lawrence Tract, recorded October 11,
l948, 1n Book 0 of Maps, at page 54, Official Records of Santa
Clar·a County, State of California.
Section ~. That the City Manager be and he hereby is auth-
orized and directed to sell said land in one block on terms which
he deems most advantageous to the City, subject to the interest,
if any, of the owners of said land at the time said map was filed
or their successors in interest and subject further to private
easements of owners, including rights of Trusteeo under deeds of
trust, of all lots in said Tract No. 581.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly introduced and
passe~ at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Palo
Alto, held on the 26th day of April , 1954, by the fol-
lowing vote:
