said City or Palo Alto be consolidated wit11 said State ~nd County
Primary Election;
NOW, THERE.B'ORE 1 tbe Couuc:l.l or tbe City of J?aJ.o Alto does
resolve as follows:
§ec~ion 1. A special municipal bond election is hereby
called to be held in the Clty of P~lo Al~o on Tuesday, June 8,
19~4, at which election shall be submitted to the qualified Alec" •

tors of said City the follawin~ proposition, to wit:
CITY OF PALO ALTO BOND PROfOSITION
Shall the City ·of PaJ.o Alto izicur a bonded indeb'c-
edtLess in the principal sur.1 o1' b'our Nillion Dollars
( ~l~ 1 0001 000) for the object and purpose o1' acquirint;J
constructittg and completing '~he following U1unicipal
improvement, to wit: the enlargement and betterment
of the Palo Alto Hospital1 incll.:id1ng the construction
of ah addition or additions thereto?
Section 2. 'l'he Board or Supervisors oi' the County of Santa
Clara is berel1y requested to ord\~r the consolidation oi' said
special rmmicipal bond election with tl~e State o1' California State
and County Primary Election to be held on Tuesday J June 8, 199~ 1

11~ofar as the City of Palo Alto is concerr1ed, and to further
provide th.J.t within the territory affected by said order of con-
solidation, to wit: the City of Pal0 Alto, the election precincts,
polling places and voting booths shall 1n every case be the same,
and there shall be only one set of ~:ection officers in each of
said precincts and only one fonn of ballot shall be used.
Section 3. Saia Board of Supervisors of the Count~ of Santa
Clara is further r·equcsted t.o ca\.:.se -co be printed upon the ballot
to be used at said consolidated spacial municipal bond election
and State and County Primary Election, witnin the City or Palo Alto,
said City of Pulo Alto bond prop~sition in th~ fonn set forth in
Section 1 0f this resolution.
Section 4. Sald Board of Supervisors or the County of Santa
Clara is hereby f~rther authorized to canvass the returns of said
elE:(.;tion with respect to said City or Palo Al":o bond proposition
and to certify such canvass of the votes ca8t for and against said
bond proposition to this Council.
~ection 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to certify to the due ado1~ t1on of this resolution and to transmit
a co.ny hereof, so certified, to the Board of Supervtsors of the

The above anl foregoing resolution was duly and reeularly
introduced and passed by the Council of the Clty of Palo Alto o~
the 22nd day of March , lSJ54, by the following vote:
