DECLA.'~INO WEEDS TO BE A NUISAJ:CE that RESOLVED, by the C:tty Council of the C:tty of Palo Alto WHEREAS, certa .. tn weeds are growing in the City of Palo Alto upon t~e various streets, alle~rc, sidewalks, and upon ?r1vate nroperty within aa1d municipality, which said weeds bear seeds of a ,.,ingy or downy nature, cr 'I'Thich may attain such lar~e gro'IA•th as to become) when dry, a i'lre menace, or v:h:tch are otherwise noxious and dangerous; and '\o,'J-fEREA..<), said weeds cons t1 tute a. public nuisance; NOW 1 THEREPORE 1 IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that said weeds do now constitute and will continue to constitute a public nuisance, and it is ordered that the said oublic nuisance be abated in the manner nrov1ded by Article 32 A of the Codified Ord.inance No. 5 of the City of Palo Alto 1 and that aaid nui- sance exists upon all of the streets, alleys, sidewalks, and Private r)rOPerty .,.,:1. thin said c1 ty, as shown 1 descr1 bed and delineated on the several maps of the properties in said city which are recorded 1n the office of the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, reference in each inatanc~ for the des- cription of any particular street, a.lloy .• or private oronerty being hereby made to the several maps aforesaid, and, in the event of there being several subd1v1sion maps on which the .J same lots are ::,~hown, refei"ence 1s hereby made to the latest ·~ subdiv1s1on m~p. · ,~.ND IT IS ORDERED that Monda.y, the 9th day of November, -· 1953, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. of said day, at the Council Che :11bers of the City Council of the City or Palo Alto located in the City Hall of said City, be and the same is fixed os the time and place Nhen objections to the proposed destruction or remova~ or such weeds shall be heard and given due co~sidera- tion. The Su~erlntendent of Streets of said City is hereby ordered and directed to cau3e notice of said hearing to be s1ven in the time, manner and form provided in Article 32 A of said Codified Ordinance No. 5. I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the Ci~y of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held Ofl the 26th day of October, 1953, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: B1shoo, Byxbee, Cashel, Corcoran, Cummings, Drysdale, Hanley, Huston, Marshall, Mitchell, Porter, Rodgers, Ruppenthal, Wickett.
