RESOLUTION DECLARING VBBDS TO BB A NUISANCE
that RESOLVED, by the City Council or the City or Palo Alto~
WBBREAS, certain weeds are growing in the City of
Palo Alto upon the various streets, alleys. s1dewalk8, and
upon private prope:-ty within said municipality, Which said
weeds bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature, or which may
attain such large growth as to become, when dry1 a fire
menace, or which are otherwise noxious and dangerous; and
WHEREAS, said weeds constitute a publlc nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE~ IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that said
weeds do now constitute and will continue to constitute a
public nuieance, and lt is ordered ttu...:; the said put.lic
nuisance be abated in the manner provided by Article 32 A of
ti1e Codified Ordinance No. Five or the City of Palo Alto, and
that said nuisance exists upon all or the atreetB, alleys,
sidewalks, and private property within said city, As shown,
described and delineated on the several mapa or the properties
in sa1d city which are recorded in the office of the County
Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, reference in each instance
for the description or ~ny particular street, alley, or private
property being hereby made to the several maps aforesaid, and,
1n the event or there being several subdivision maps on which
the same lots are shown, reference is hereby made to the latest subdivision map.
. AND IT IS ORDERED that Monday, the 24th day or november,
1952, at the hour or 7:30 P.M. or said day, at the Council Chambers
or the City Council or the City or Palo Alto located 1n the City
Hall or said City, be and the same is fixed as the time and place
when objections to the proposed destruction or removal or such
weeds shall be heard and given due consideration.
The Superintendent or Streets of said City 1s hereby
ordered and directed to cause notice or said hearing to be given
in the time, manner and form provided in Article 32 A or said codified Ordinance No. Five.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly adopted by the C1ty Council or the Clty
of Palo Altos California, at a meet1ng~ereof held on the lOth
day of November, 1952, by the following vote:
AYES, and in favor ther•of, Councilmen:
Bishop, Blois, Bower, Caahel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar,
Hill, Marshall, Mitchell, Montreuil, Simpson, Wells, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Miller.
