RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2379
RESOLUTION TO CLOSE AND ABANDON EASEMENT IN LOT 7, n:
BLOCK 220, TRACT NO. 241, KNOWN AS THE PRICE TRACT.
l_ The Council or the City of Palo Alto DOES RF.sOLVE as follows:

That lt is the 1ntent1on of the Council or the City of Palo
Alto to order the following work and improvement t;o be done in 3aid city, to wit:
Section 1. That that portion or a public ut1lit1ea ease-
ment in Lot 7, or Block 220, Tract No. 241, known as the Price
Tract, in the City or Palo Alto, more particularly described ae follows:
Commencing at the most Easterly corner of Lot
7 in Block 220, as said Lot and Block are sho~T.
upon that certain map entitled "Tract :No. 241A
Prica Tract" recorded Dec. ?, 1946, ir: Block o,
1::.f 1·~aps at pages 12 and 13, Hecor<is of Santa
Clnrn County, California; thence from said point
Qf commencement N. 54° 45 1 E. along the North-
wegterly line of said Lot 45.86 feet; thence S.
51 45• E. parallel to the Northeasterly line of
said Lot 5.21 feet; thence 3. 54° 45 1 W. 49.13
feet to the §outhwesterly line of sa1d Lot;
thence N. 35 15' W. along said Southwesterly
line 5.00 feet to the point of commencement.

Section 2. That 1n the opinion of said Council no assesa-ment is necegsary for this proceeding.
Section 3. Said work and improvement is to ~e had and
taken pursuant to the provisions of Article 3 of Ordinance 844 or the City of Palo Alto, commonly known and designated as the
Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code, said ordinance having been
adopted by the Council of the City or Palo Alto on January 13, 1941.
Section 4. For a particular description or the work to be
done hereunder re~erence is hereby made to that certain map or
plat on file with the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Palo Alto and entitled 'Easement, Abandonment and Acqu1s1t1on -
Lot 7, Block 220, Price Tract", prepared the 23rd day of Sept-
ember, 1952, by H. M. Witbeck, City Engineer and Street Superin-tendent.
Section 5. Notice is hereby given that the 27th day of
October, 1952, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., at the Council Chambers
of the City Council of said City, in the City Hall, Palo Alto,
California, be and the same is hereby set as the day, hour and
place where and when any and all persons having any objections
to the proposed work or improvement, may appear before said
Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be
carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Section 6. The Daily Palo Al to Times, n da11:,' pawspaper
published and circulated 1n the City or Palo Alto, of general
circulation, 1s hereby designated as the newspaper in which the

C1ty Clerk of the City of Palo Alto shall caase to be published
in the me.nner n.nd form required by law, a. copy of this Resolution
of Intention, by causing same to be published twice in said news-
paper prior tci the date Of the hearing Of Objections to the pro-
posed work and improvement.
Section 7. The Superintondent or Streets or the said City
of Palo Alto sh~ll cause to be conspicuously posted on said
e!lsement along the line of said contemplated work and improve-
ment notices of the passage of this re3~1ut1on of intention in
the time, marmer and form prescribed by law.
The above and foregoing resol!1t1on was duly and regularly
introduced and passed at an adjourned regular meeting cf the Council of
the City of Palo Alto, held on the 8th day of October, 1952, by the following vote:
AYES: Bishop, Blois, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Hill, Marshall,
Mitchell, Montreuil, Simpson, Wells, Wickett.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Bower, Gaspar,
