WHEREAS, th.1e Council p1·oposee to undertake proceed1ngs
pursuant to Article C of the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code
for the acqu1e1t1on of eas~ments for widening and for improving
North California Avenue be~~een Middlefield Road and Embarcadero
Road, Colorado Avenue between Lou18 Road and Greer Road, Greer
Roa1 between Embarcadero Road and No. California Avenue, Louis
Road between Colorado Avenue and Loma Verde Avenue, Loma Verd~
Avenue between Middlefield Road and Vernon Terrace~ and Ros3
Road between Colorado Avenue and Loma Verde Avenua.
WHEREAS, the public 1nt.ereet and general welfare will be
served by appointing and employing an appraiser t'or the prepara-
tion of an appriser'e report covering eabemente necessary to be
acquired and improved in said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Elmer M. Berliner,
'be, and he is hereby, appointed as appraiser for said project,
and employed to do and perform all appraisal work necessary 1n
and for said proceedings, 1nclud1ng preparation or an appraisal
report; and that his compensation be, and it 1a hereby, fixed at
a reasonable fee to be approved by the Council, and to be assessed
as an incidental expense of said proceedings.

I hereby certify the f orego1ng to be a true copy of
resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a reg~lar meeting thereof held on the 22nd day
of September, 1952, by the following vote or the members thereof:
