': •. ~ : _.,.., 476 R E S 0 L U T I 0 N ----------N 0 • --?_36,l RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OP BL CARMELO AVENUE,, B!TWBEN ALMA STftEET AND WAVERLEY .;JTRBET, IN THE CITY OF PALO ALTO. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto did on the 28th day of July, 1952, paua 1ts Resolution or Intention No. 2349 to order the f ollow1ng work and improvement done in said city, to wit: That the Northwesterly 5 feet and the Southeaeterly 5 feet of Bl Carmelo Avenue between Alma Street and Waverley Street in th~ City of Palo Alto; be closed and abandoned; AND WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets did thereupon cause notice or the passage of said Resolution of Intention to be posted in the form and manner· required by law; and, WHEREAS, the City Clerk caueed a similar notioe to be pub- lished twice in the Palo Alto Times, a dally newspaper published and c1rculated 1n the C!ty of Palo Alto, which newspaper was designated in said Resolution of Intention No. 2349 by the Council as the official newopaper 1n which said notice should be published, and, WHEREAS, no objections have been filed against said pro- poaed work and improvement and more than 10 days have elapsed after the expiration o!' the publication of said notice and the passage of said Resolution or Intention, and the City Council has acquired jurisdiction to order said work and improvement as proposed; NOW .• THEREFORE, the Co1..mcil of the City of Palo Alto DOES RESOLVE as follows: That the Northwesterly 5 feet and the Southeasterly :,. feet of El Carmelo Avenue between Alma Street and Waverley S ... reet 1n the City of Palo Alto; be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned. The above and forego1ngl9solut1on was duly and regularly introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the City or Palo Alto held on the 25th day of August, 1952, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: Blois, Cathcart. Dry5dale, Gaspar, Hill, Marshall, Miller, Mitchell, Montrou11, Wells, Wickett. None.
