RESOLVED, by the C1ty Council of the City of Palo Alto,, ca11rorn1a, that
WHEREAS, said Council, pursuant to Resolution or Intention
No. 2278 adopted by said Council on April 28, 1952 and 1ta
Resolution Calling for Bids on sale of bonds pursuant thereto,,
adopted July 28, 1952, duly gave notice or sale of said bonds;
WHKRKAS, the time and place fixed therein for receiving
bids ror th.e purchase or aa1d bonds wae 4 :00 P. M., Monday,
August 11, 1952, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto,
California, and sair.1 blds were received and publicly opened,,
examined and declared at that time, and referred to the City
Controller ror analysis, and the City Controller has reported
the re9ulte thereof to th18 Council;
NOW, Th1m.EFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
l. That all written bids rec·e:lved for the purchase or
said bonds, excepting the bid herein stated, be, and they are
hereby; rejected, and that said bonds be, and they are hereby
ordered sold to A. G. Becker & Co., Inc. as the highest respons-
ible bidder therefor, with interest to the date or delivery or said
bonds, said sale to be subj•ct to all or the terms ana conditions set ~orth in said resolution calling .for sealed proposals and in said ac-cepted bid.
2. That the City Clerk or said City be, and she is'hereby,
directed to have said bonds printed forthwith, and that the same be
immediately signed, sealed and delivered to said bidder on receipt of
the amount therefor as above stated, with interest but not otherwise,
and upon the performance of the conditions cont:a1ned in said written offer.
3. That the interest rate of said bonds be, and the
aame is hereby, fixed at the rate stated in aa!d bid.

I hereby certify that the foregoing reaolut1on was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the.City
of Palo Alto, Ca11forn1a, at a regular meeting thereof held
on the 11th day of August, 1952, by the following vote:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Blois, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar, Marshall,
Mitchell, Montreuil, Simpson, Wells, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT; Coun~ilmen: Bishop, Miller.
NOT VOTING, Councilmen: Hill.
