The City Council or the City of Palo Alto DOES
R~OLVE as tollowe:
THAT, pureuant to Section 35304.5 of the Government
Code or the State or California, said City Council does hereby
consent to the annexation t> the City or Mountain View or the
following described area of real property situated Within
three miles or the boundaries of said City of Palo Alto, California; said real property being described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Easterly line or El Monte Avenue
{formerly known as MoOdy Road) said point being the Northwesterly
corner or that certain 22.50 acre tract or land set apart and con-
veyed to William D. Waeaon by that certain Deed Recorded in Book
Jt.34 ~r Deeds, Page 511, et seq .. , the same being the Southwesterly
corner or the Pa11l M. P. Merner property as shown on Record or
Survey of eaid property and Recorded in Book 37 of Mapa, Page 25,
Santa Clara County Records, the same being also a point in the·C1ty
Limits or proposed City Limits of the City or Mountain View as
shown on that certain sketch entitled "Sketch Showing Propoeted
Annexation of Rincon No. 2 to the City or Mountain View," Dated
April 1952; thence Northerly along said City Limits or proposed
City Limits 1n so far as they follow Bl Monte Avenue and along
said Saeterly line or El Monte Avenue in all 1t1 various couraee
e.~d distances to 1ta intersection w1th the Section lin• between
Sections 21 and 28, Township 6, South, Range 2 Vest, M.D.B. & M.
said point being the Southwesterly corner of that certain 2 acre
tract of land described in the Deed from A. N. Sehopke, et ux to
Victor Shurr&, et we., dated August 3, 1945, Recorded August 16,
1945, under Recorder's Serial Number 356230, Santa Clara County
Records; ~hence F.aaterly along the Southerly line or said 2 acre
tract S 89 58' E. 243.0 feet, more or leas, to the Southeast
corner or said 2 acre tract; thence No. 20 R.1 180.18 feet, more or
less, to the Northeast corner or said 2 acre tract; thence s. 89° 58• E.; 192.45 feet, more or lees, to a point which bears N. 890 58 1 w., 50 feet from the Easterly line or that certain 8.9821
acre tract or land described as parcel No. 1, in the Deed rrom w. C. Bennett, et ux., to A. N. Schopke, Dated March 18, 1935,
Recorded March 25, 1935, 1n Book 721 of Official ReeordB, at
Page 469, Santa Clara County Records; thence No. 2° 57' !., and
parallel with said ~sterly line or said 8.9821 acre tract 179.07
reet; thence No. 89 57' w •.• 438.41 feet to said Easterly 11ne or
El Monte Avenue and continuing Westerly across El Monte Avenue on
the prolongation of the last mentioned course described as No. 89° 57• W., to the Westerly l1ne or El Monte Avenue; thence Southerly
along the Westerly line of Bl Monte Avenue in all ita various
courses and distances to the intersection or said Westerly line
with the Westerly prolongation or the Southerly line or said
property or Paul M. P8 Merner and said City Limits or proposed
City Limits; thence Easterly along said last mentioned Westerly
prolongation S. 89° 39 1 E., to said City Li~its or proposed
City L1m1ts, the same being also the point or beginning.
THAT said City Council does hereby ratify and
approve any consent which might have been given by the city
manager of said city to said City of Mountain View;
THAT said City Council doea hereby waive any
objections to such proposed annexation which might exist under
said Section 35304.5 or the Government Code or the State or
California.
