The C1ty Council of the City or Palo Alto does resolve
ari follows:
THAT, pursuant to Section 353~.5 or the Government Code
or the State of California, said City Council does hereby consent
to the &nnexationto the City or Mountain View or the following
described area of real property situated within three mile8 or the
boundaries or said C1ty or Palo Alto, California; said real pro-
perty being described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Northeasterly line of
Central Avenue, 60 feet wide, said point being the point of in-
tersection or said Northeasterly line with the Northeasterly
prolongation of the Southeasterly line of North View Street
(formerly known as M1ramonte Avenue), 60 feet wide, said point
also being the Northeasterly City Limits or the City of
Mountain V1ew as ahown on that certain map entitled "Annex-
a t1on of Andere on Addi ti on No. 1, to the City of Mountain View·'
Cal1forn1ajl" dated February 1951 and nun1bered with File No.
2023; thence Southeasterly~ Northeasterly and Southeasterly
respectively, along the Northeasterly, Northwesterly and North-
eastP.:rly lines respectively or Central Avenue, Oak Aven.ue and
Gladyu Avenue respectively in all their various courses and
distances and the Southeasterly prolongation or said North-
easterly line of Gladys Avenue to its intersection w1th the
Southeasterly line or Whisman Road; thence Southwesterly along
said Southeasterly line or Whisman Road to its intersection
with the Northeasterly line or Lot 20, Arquea Subd1v1e1on No. 2~
thence Southeasterly along said Northeasterly 11ne to the mogt
Easterly corner or said Lot 20, said corner being also the
most Northerly corner of Lot 21 of said Arques Subdivision No •
2; thence southeasterly along the Northeasterly l!ne of said
Lot 21 to the Northwesterly line of the Mountain View Alviso
Road, 60 feet wide; thence Southwesterly along said Northwest-
erly 11ne and the Southwesterly prolongation thereof to its
intersection with the Northeasterly line of the Southdrn Pac-
ific Railroad Right or Way as shown on Map of said Arques
Subdiv1s1on No. 2; thence Northwesterly along the Northeast-
~rly line or said Right or Way as shown on said last mentioned
Map to its intersection with the Southwesterly prolongation of
the Northwesterly line of Whisman Road; thence Northeasterly
along said Southwesterly prolongation and said last mentioned
Northwesterly line to its intersection with the Southweeterly
line of Gladys Avenue; thence Northwesterly Southwesterly and
Northwesterly respectively, along the Southwesterly Southeast-
erly and Southwesterly lines respectively, of Gladys Avenue,
Oak Avenue and Central Avenue, respectively~ in all their var-
ious cou.rees and distances to the intersection of said South-
westerly U.ne or Central Avenue with the Southeasterlr line of
North V1ew Street (formerly known as Miramonte Avenue), said
laat mentioned Southeasterly line being also the Southeasterly
City Limita of the City of Mountain View; thence Northeasterly
along the northeasterly prolongation or said Southeasterly
line or North View Street and said City Limits to t~1e po1rit of
beginning.
THAT said City Council doea hereby ratify and approve
any consent which might have been given by the city manager or said
city to said City of Mountain View;
THAT said Clty Council does hereby waive any objections
to such proposed annexation which might exist under said Section 35304.5 or the Government Code of the State of California.
