RF..SOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
Cal1forn1a, that
WHEREAS, said Council, pursuant to Ree~lut1on of Inten-
tion No. 2223 adopted by said Council on February 11, 1952 and
its Resolution Calling ror Bids on sale or bonds pursuant thereto,
adopted Ju11e 9, 1952, duly gave notice of sale of said bonds;
WHEREA.S, the time and place fixad therein for receiving
bids for the purchase or said bonds was 4:00 P.M., Monday, June
23, 1952, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, ca11r-
orn1a, and said bids ~ere received and publicly opened, examined
and declared at that time, and referred to the City Controller
for analysis, and the City Controller has reported the results
thereof to th18 Council;
NOW. THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, aa follows:
1. That all written bide received ror the purchase of
sa1d bonds, excepting the bid herein stated, be, and they are
hereby, rejected, and that said bonds be, and they are hereby
ordered sold to J. B. Hanauer & Company as the highest respon~1ble
bidder therefor, with interest to the date or delivery of said bonds,
said sale to be subject to all or the terms and conditions set forth
in said resolution calling ror B6&led proposals and in sa1d accepted
bid.
2. That the City Clerk o~ said City be, and she 1e
hereby, directed to have said bonds printed forthwith, and that
' the same b~ immediately signed, sealed and delivered to said bid-
der on receipt of the amount therefor as above stated, w1th in-
terest but not otherwise, and upon the performance or the con-·
d1t1ons contained in said written offer.
3. That the interest rate of said bonds be, and the
same is hereby, fixed at ·.;he rate stated 1n said bid.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the City Council or the City or Pa.lo
Alto, Ca11rorn1a. at a regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd
day of June, 1952, by the following vote:
AYES, and 1n ravor thereof, Councilmen:
Bishop, Blois, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar,
Hill, Marshall, Mitchell, Montrouil, Simpaon, Wickett.
NOES? Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bower, Miller.
