RESOLVED, by the City Co:.mcil of the city of Palo Alto, California, that
WHEREAS, ea1d Council, pursuant to Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 2221 adopted by said Council on February 11, 1952 and
lts Resolution Calling for Bids on sale of bonds pursuant thereto,
ac:lopted June 9, 1952, duly gave notice or sale of said bonds;
WHEREAS, the time and place fixed therein for recei v1n'g
bide for the purchase of said bonds was 4:00 P.M., Monday, June 23,
1952) at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, California,
and aa1d bids were received and publicly opened, examined and
declared at that tj.me and refer:-ed to the City Controller for
analysis, and the City Controller has reported the results thereof to this Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
l. That all written bids received fronthe purchase of
sa1d bonds, &xcepting the b1d herein stated, be, and they are
hereby,reJected,and that said bonds be, and they are hereby
ordered sold ~o J. B. Hanauer & Company as the highest responsible
bidder therefor, with interest to the date of delivery or said
bonds, sa1d sale to be subject to all of the terms and conditions
set forth 1n said resolution calling for sealed proposals and in
said accepted bid.
2. That the City Clerk of 3a1d City be, and she 1s
hereby, directed to have eaid bonds printed fo~thwith, md that
the samell! immediately signed, sealed and delivered to said btd-
der on receipt of the amount therefor as above stated, with in-
terest but not otherwise, and upon the performance or the condi-
tions contained is aa1d written offer.
3. That the interest rate or said bonds be, and the
same is hereby, fixed at the rate stated in said bid.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the City Council or the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of June, 1952, by the following vote;
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Bishop, Blois, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar,
Hill, Marshall, Mitchell, Montrouil, Simpson, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bower, Miller.
