"" ... --... -·--~· R E S 0 L U T I 0 N ----------N 0 • lli]. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF WAVERLEY STREET SOUTHEAST OF LOMA VERDE AVENUE, IN THB CITY OF PALO ALTO. I The Council of the City or Palo Alto DOES RESOLVE as follows: l._ Section l. That it is the intention of the City of Palo Alto to order the following work and improvement to be done 1n said city: That a portion or Waverley StreP.t southeast of Lorr.a Verde Avenue, as shown on that certain map entitled, "Map of C. M. Wooster Company's Sub- division ot' the Clarke Ranch, as Recorded in Book "O" of Mapa at page 16 ~ SarJta Clara Co. Records, 11 and described as follows: All that certain parc&l of land situ.ate in the County or Santa Clara, State of Californla, described as follows: Beginning at a point distant S. 52° 8. 38.487 feet the center line or Waverley Street and N. 38° E. 35.00 feet from the most westerly corner of Lot 29 of the C. M. Wooster Company's Subdivision ol' the Clarke Ranch according to the Map thereof filed ror record in the Office of the Recorder of the Countl of Santa Clara, State of California in Volume "O of Maps, at Page 16 thereof, said most westerly corner being the intersection or the cen- ter line of College Avanue, 40 feet wide, With the center line of Waverley Street, 70 feet wide, as the same are shown on said Map; thence S. 52° B. 128.82 fe~t; southeasterly 133-93 feet along the arc or a circle i,aving a radius ob 557 .348 .feet, and the cen- ter of which bears S. 38 W. 557.348 feet from the l~st designated polnt, to & point 1n the easterly line of the parcel of land conveyed by John E. Muller et ux to Joseph P. Ferrell et we by Deed dated November 10, 1945 and recorded December 4, 1945 in Book 1306 of Official Records, at Page 403 thereof, or aa!d Santa Clara County Recorda, said point being distant S. 52° E. 293.ro feet along the center 11ne of Waverley Street and N. 56° 12' E. along said east..,rly line from aa1d most weat.,rly corner or ea:11. Lot 29; thence N. 450 29' 12 11 W. 82. 08 f'eet; thel'lce N. 520 W. 172.887 feet; thence northwesterly 10.995 feet along th~ arc of a circle having a radius of 7.00 feet, and the center of which bears N. 38° !. 7.00 feet, to the point or beginning; be closed and abandoned. Section 4. Por a mor6 particular description of the work to be done hereunder, reference ls hereby made to that certain map or plat on file with the Su~er1ntendent or Streets cf the City or Palo Alto and entitled, Survey of the Property of Don and Frances Reinoehl, being a portion of" Lot 29 of Map of C. M. Wooster Company's Subdivision of the Clarke Ranch, as recorded in Book 11 011 · of Maps, ,age 16, Santa Clara Co. Records," dated May 1952. Section 5. Notice 1s hereby given that Monday, July 14, 1952, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., at the Council Chambers of the City of Palo Alto, in the City Hall, Palo Alto, California, be and the same 1s hereby set as the day, hour and place where and when any and all persons having any objections to the pro- posed work or improvements, may appear before said Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution. Section 6. The Daily Palo Alto Times, a daily newspaper published and circulated 1n the City of Palo Alto, of general circulation, is hereby designate~ as the newspaper 1n which the City Clerk of the City of Palo Alto shall cause to be published 1n the manner and form required by law, a copy of th~a Resolution or Intention, by causing same to be published twice in said newspaper prior to the date of the hearing of objections to the proposed work and improvement. Section 7. The Superintendent of Streets of said city shall cauee to be conspicuously posted on one side of the above mentioned street, along the line of said contemplated work and improvement, notices or the passage of this resolution of 1n- tent1on in the time, manner and form prescribed by law. !he above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council or the City of Palo Alto, held on the 9th day of June, 1952, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: Blo1s, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar, Hill, Mar2hall, Miller, Mitchell, Montreuil, Simpson, Wickett.
