RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Cal1forn1a, that

WHEREAS, the Council did on the 28th day of April, 1952,
adopt 1 ts Resolution ot' Intention No. 2278 to order certain im-
provements to be made in sa1d C1ty, under and pursuant to Article
V of Ordinance No. 844 of said City, adopted January 13, 1941,
entitled 11 Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Cofe", and to issue
bonds pQr~uant to Part 4, Bond Plan C or Article IV of said
Ordinance No. 844, reference to which resolution is hereby ma.de
ror a particular description of the improvements to be made, the
boundaries or the assessment d18trict and the bonds to be 1ssu~d;
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention No. 2278 haa been
duly published tw1c~ in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation printed and published 1n said City, wherein all
persons interested having any objections tp the proposed improve-
ments or against the district to be assessed ror the costs and
expenses thereof, or a.ga1.nst the grades at ..-hich said work shall
be done, or to the Engineer's estimate or the costs and expenses
thereof, or against the diagram or assessment, were notified or
the time a.nd place of the hearing ae contained 1.Jl said resolution or intention; said resolution was duly published within the t1me
and in the manner -provided 1n ea.id Improvement Procedure Code,
and as directed by said resolution of Intention, ae appears from
the affidavit of pub11cation on file in the office or the City
Clerk of said City;
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for aa1d hearing
no protests or objections were made or presented to the proposed
improvements, or to the district to be assessed, or to the grades
at which said work wa.e to be dorie, or to the 'bonds to be issued
to pay the costs and expenses thereof, or to the Engineer's es-
timate of the coets and expenses thereof, or against the diagram
or assessment, and all persons interested desiring to be heard
were given an opportunity to be heard, and all matters and things
pertaining to said proposed improvements were duly heard and con-
sidered by said Council, and said Council h~s acquired jurisdic-
tion to order said improvements and to confirm said assessment to
pay the costs and expenses thereof;
WHEREAS, said Council has ordered said improvements and
the redistribution or said assessment using the unit prices con-
tained in the bid of the lowest responsible bidder, and said as-
sessment haa been redistributed and presented to and reviewed by
th1e Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, said Council does hereby FIND, DETERMINE and ORDER, as follows:
1. That the assessment and diagram for the coat and
expenses of the.improvements described in said Resolution of Inten-
tion, as modified, be, and the same is hereby ratified, approved,
and conf1~med as the assessment and diagram to pay the costs and
expenses of said 1mprovemente.

2. That the City Clerk or said City ahall deliv~r said
diagram and asseesment to the Superintendent or Streets of said
City, together with a certified copy or this reaolution thereto
attached, and said Superintendent of Streets shall thereupon re-
cord such assessment and diagram in his office in a suitable book
to be kept for that purpose and append thereto hie certificate of
the date of such recording, and such record shall be the assess-
ment roll to pay for the coets and expenses of said improvements.
3. Immediately upon such recordat1on eaid Superintendent or Streets shall give notice thereof by two pu'bl1cat1ons 1n the
Palo Alto Times, a newspaper or general o1rculat1on printed and
published 1nm1d City, which not1~e shall set forth, among other
things, that all sums assessed therein are due and payable at his
office immediately, and that payment thereof is to be made to h1m
within thirty days after the date of recording said assessment,
which date shall be stated in said notice, and such other matters
a13 are requtred by Section 7 or Article V of said Improvement
Proceaure Code.

I hereby certj.fy the foregoing to be a true copy or
resolution adopted by the City Council or the City or Palo Alto~
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 26th day or
May, 1952, by the following vote of the members thereof:
