REDUCING ASSESSMENT NO. 172 AND
ORDERING RID"U?ID -THIRD STREET ET AL
ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 51-1
RESOLVED, by the City Council uf the City of Palo Alto, Cal1forn1a., that
WHEREAS, on July 9, 1951, said Council, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 2093, adopted by said Council on
April 9, 1951, adopted Resolution No. 2136 OPdering Acquisitions
and Improvements and Confirming Assessment;
WHEREAS, Assessment No. 172 as so confirmed, was computed
on more frontage than the parcel actually had, was in the amount
of $689.82 and should have been in the amount of $490.29, and ·the
owner or the property so assessed has paid the amount of $689.82 in cash; and
WHEREAS, there is sufficient money in the contingent fund
of said project with which to reimburse said property owner the
difference between the amount actually assessed and the amount wh1ch should have been assessed;
NOW; THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY Rl"SOLVED, DETERMINED and ORDERED as .follows:
1. Assessment No. 172 is hereby reduced from the amount of $689.82 to $490.29.
2. The Superlntendent of Streets 1e instructed to modify all copies of the assessment on its face.
3, The City Controller is hereby authorized and directed
to prepare a warrant drawn on the Treasurer of said City 1n the
amount o!' $199.53 payable to the order of Consuniers Cooperative
Society of Palo Alto, and payable out of conti~gent funds for Project No. 51-1.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy
of resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof hald on the 12th day of
May, 1952, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Bishop, Blois, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar,
Hill, Marshall, Miller, Mitchell, Simpson, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bowden, Montrou11.
