RESOLVED, by the Couric11 of the City of Palo Al to, Cal1!'or-n1a, that
~HEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Palo Alto did, on
the 28th day or April, 1952, publicly open, examine and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for the work to be done and improve-
ments to be made, as described and specified in Resolution or
Intention No. 2267 of said Council adopted March 24, 1952, to
which resolution reference is hereby made for a deecr1pt1on of
said work and improvements and the materiala, supplies and equipment to be furnished therefor;
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reported h1a f1nd1ngs to
the Council, which findings have been duly considered by said Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, as follows:
1. The Council hereby rejects all or aa1d proposals or
bids except that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the
contract for doing said work and making said. improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit:
L. C. SMITH COMPANY
at the prices named in its bid;
2. ~'hat the ~i.ayor and Clerk of said City of Palo Alto, be,
and they are hereby autho~1zed to make and enter into a wr~tten
contract with ea1d successful bidder, and to receive and ppprove nll bonds in connection therewith.

I hereby ccr·;ify the foregolng to be a true copy of
resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of
April, 1952, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Bishop, Blois, Cashel, Drysdale, Gaspar, H111, Marshall, Miller, Simpson, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
Bower
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bowden,LCathcart, Mitchell, Montreuil.
