j RESOLVED, by the Council of the City or Palo Alto, Cal1-L.. forn1a, that

WY.EREAS, the Counc:U did on the 28th day of April, 1952,
adopt 1te Resolution No. 2278 o:i' Intention to order work to be
done and improvements to be made in said City;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk 1a hereby d1rected to pub-
lish in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper or general c1~culation,
printed, published and circulated in aaid City and hereby designat-
ed by said Council for that purpose, a Notice Inviting Sealed
Proposals for doing the work and making the improvements described
in said Resolution No. 2278 of Intention.
All proposals or bids shall be accompam.1ed by a check payable
to the City ot Palo Alto, certified by a reaponsible bank, for an
amount which shall not be leas than ten per cent (10%) of the aggre-
gate of the proposal, or by a bond for said amount and so payable,
signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or two individual sure--
ties, who shall justify before any officer competent to admin1ster
oaths, in double the said amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said sealed proposals shall be delivered to the City Clerk,
on or before 4 P.M. of Monday, the 12th day of May, 1952, said
time being not less than ten days from the time of the first publi-
cation of said notice. Bids will be opened, examined and declared
on sa1d day and hour by the City V..anager, 1n the Council 6hamber
!n the City Hall, who shall report to the Council his findings,
which findings shall be considered by said Council at its meeting
to be held at said place on Monday, May 12th, 1952, at 7:30 P.M.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of rt~solu
tion adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
Cal1forn13, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of
Aprtl, 1952, by the following vote of the members thereof:

Bish0p, Blois, Cashel, Drysdale, Oaspar, Hill, Marshall,
Miller, Simpson, Wickett.
