that RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of' Palo Alto d1d,
on the 21st day or March, 1952, publicly open, examine and
declare all sealed proposals or bids for the work to be done
and improvements to be made, as described and specified 1n
Resolution of Intent1on No. 2223 of said Council adopted
February 11, ·1952, to which resolution reference is hereby
made for a description of said work and improvements and the
materials, supplies and e'Quipment to be furnished therer>r;
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reported his findings to the
Council, which findings have been duly considered by said Council.
NOW, THEREl<'OR.E, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, as follows:
1. The Council hereby rejects all or said proposals or
bids except that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the
eon·cract for doing said work and maltng said improvements to
the lowest reaponeible bidder, to-~w1 t:
B. MILES THCMAS COMPANY
at the prices riamed in 1 ts bid;
2. That the Mayor and Clerk of said City of Palo Alto be,
and they are hereby,authorized to make and enter into a written
contract with said successful bidder, and to receive and approve
all bonds in connection therewith.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of resolut1on
adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 24th day of March,
1952, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Bishop, Blois, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar,
Marshall, Miller, Mitchell, Montrouil, Simpson, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bowden, Hill.
