ET J..L ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto» Califor-nia, that WHEREAS, the Council did on the 11th day of February, 1952, adopt its Resolut1on No. 2223 of Intent1ontx> order work to be done and improvements to be made in said City; NOW, THEREFORE, The City i:nerk is hereby directed to publish in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper or general c1rculat1on, printed, published and ciruulated in said City and hereby designated by sa!d Council for that purpose, a Notive Inviting Sealed Proposals for doing the work and making the improvement3 described in said Resolution No. 2223 or Intention. All proposals or bide shall be accompanied by a check payable to the City of Palo Alto, certified by a responsible bank, for an amount which shall n~t be less than ten per cent (10%) or the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for said amount and so payable,, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety of two indi- vidual sureties, whc shall justify before any officer competent to a<tm1n1ater oaths,, in double the said amount, s.nd over and above all statutory exemptions. Said sealed. proposals shall be del1J.7ered to the City Clerk, on or before 4 P.M. of Friday, the 21st day of March, 1952, said time being not less than ten days from the time or the first publication of said notice. Bide will be opened, examined and declared on sald day and hour by the City Manager, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, who shall report to the Counc11 his f1ndings, which findings shall be considered by said Council at its meeting to be held at said place on Monday, ~~rch 24, 1952, at 7:30 P.M. ... * * ... * * I hereby certify tr.at the above and foregoir1g resol .t1on duly and regularly adopted by tne Council of the City or Palo Californi~, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day February, 1952, by the following vote of t~ members thereof: was Alto, of AYES, and 1n favor thereof, Councilmen: Blois, Bowden, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar, Hill, Miller, Mitchell, Montrou11, Simpson.
