that RESOLVED, by the Council or the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, the Council did on the 11th day or February, 1952,
adopt its Resolution No. 2221 of Intention to order work to be
done a:nd improvements to be made 1n said City;
NOW, THEREFOR!, the City Clerk 1s hereby directed to publish
j,n the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
publj.shed and circulated in said City and h1ereby designated by
said Council for that purpose, a Not1ee Inviting Sealed Proposals
for doing the work and making the improvements described 1nea1d Resolution No. 2221 of Intention.
All proposals or bids shall be ac~ompanie~ by a check payable
to theC1ty of Palo Alto, certified by a responsible bank, for an
amount which shall not be less than ten per cent (1~) of the
aggregate or the ~roposal, or by a bond for said amount and so
·payable, signed by the bidder and a oorporate surety or two indi-
vidual sureties, who shall justify before any officer competent
to administer oaths, in double the said amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said sea led proposals s ha 11 be delivered to thE~ City Clerk,
on or before ~ P.M. on Friday# the 21st day of March, 1952, said
time being not less than ten days from the time or the first
publication of said notice. Bids w1ll be opened, examined and
declared on said day and hour by the City Manager, in. the Council
Chamb9rs in the City Hall, who shall report to the co,UI'!c::11 his
findings, which findings shall be considered by said Council at
1.ts meeting to be held at said place on Monday, Ma?"ch 24, 1952, at 7:30 P.M.

I hereby certify that the above and rorego1IJg resolution was
duly and regularly adopted by the Council or the City of Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day of
February, 1952, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and 1n favor thereof, Councilmen:
Blois, Bowden, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar, Hill,
Miller, Mitchell, Montreuil, Simpson.
NOES, Councilman: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bishop, Bower, Marshall, Wickett.
NOT VOTING, Councilmen: Cashel.
