RESOLUTION ORDERING THK CLOSING OF' POR'?IONS
OF RHODES DRIVE, IN THE CJ.TY OF PALO AIJrO,
BETW'DN CHANNING AVENUE AND lIAMILTON AVKNUE,
HAMILTON AVENUB AND HIJ',.BAR LA.NB, AND HILB.AR wm
AND EDGEWOOD DRIVB.
VJ:IZREAS, the Council or the City or Palo Alto did on the
14th day or January, 1952, pass its Resolution of Intention
No. 2209 to order the following work and improvement done in
ea1d city, to wit:
That portions of Rhodes Drive, between
Channing Avenue and Hamilton Avenue,
Hamilton Avenue and Hilbar Lane, and. H11bar
Lane and Edgewood Drive, as shown on that
certain Map entitled "Crescent Park Addition",
recorded April 29, 1949 in Book 22 at pages
46 and 47, Otf1c1al Records or Santa Clara
Count:r,· and del!oribed in three paroele as
follows:
PARCBL ONBi Beginning at a point on the Southerly line or tot 8, Block 185, as shown on that certain map en-

19491 in Book 22 at pageP 46 and 471 Official ftecords

AND WHEREAS~ '::he Superin ter.dent of Streets did thereupon
cause not1~e of the passage of said Resolution or Intention to
be posted in the form and manner required by law; and,
WHEREAS, the City Clerk caused a ~1milar notice tc· bi:
p1iblished twice in the Palo Alto Times, a daily newspaper publ1sh~d
and circulated in the City of Palo Alto, which newspaper was
designated 1n said Resolution of Intention No. 2209 by the
Council as the official newspaper ln which said notice should
b~ publiched, and,
W!!XREAS, no objections have 1.:>een filed a.sainst said pro-
pozed work and improvement and more than 10 dayn have elapsed
~rt er the ~~p1ra tlon oi' the p'i..:blica ti on of said notice and the
passage of said Resolution or Intention, and the City Council
has acquired jurisd1ct1or. to order said work and improvement as
proposed;
NOW, T!:-iE.'1EFOnE, the Cou.ncil of the City of' Palo Al.to DOES
RESOLVE as follows:
That por1;ions of Rhodes Drive, between Channing Avenue
and Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton -Avenue and Hilbar Lane, arnl
Rilbar Lane and Edgewood Drive, as shown on that certain map
entitled "Crescent Park Addition"~ recorded April 29, 1949
in Book 22 at pages 46 and 47, Official Recordo or sa~ta Claro
County, and d0scribed above,
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned.
