(b) The construction or all work auxiliary to the above.- and which may be required to ea.rry out same. 2. Whenever any public way 1a herein referred to as running between tvo public ways, or from or to ali.y public way, the intersections or the public waye referred to are included to the extent that work shall be shown on the plana to be done thereon. 3. Said streets, avenues, roads, courts and rights of way are more particularly shown in the record.a or the office or the County Recorder or Santa Clara County, California, and are ahown upon the plans herein referred to and filed w1th the City Clerk or said City. 4. All of •aid work and improvements shall be done under the superv1s1on of the City Bngineer ot the City of Palo Alto, and all aaid work and materials ehall be done and furnished to his satiaract1on. 8. A map or plat or the lands and improvements necessary or convenient to be taken ror such proposed improvement has been filed w:1.th the City Clerk and approved by the City Council,, to which reference is hereby made ror turthe~ particulars. 9. Not1ce 1s hereby given that, pursuant to Section 2 ot Article V or Ordinance No. 8~4 of Baid City, commonly designated "Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code", adopted January 13, 19-1, the City Bng1neer or said City haa tiled with the City Clerk ot ea1d City, accompanying the plans and apec1t1c&t1one above re- ferred to, a statement ot the total and itemized estimated coat or said acqu1e1tiona and improvements, inclusive or incidental coats a.nd expenses or th1a proceeding, stating therein separately the estimated cost of each class or construction proposed, and or each parcel of land or improvement proposed to be acquired, the 1nc1dental expenses such aa eng1neer1ngp inspection and the coat or preparing proceedings, the total eet1mated cost or which is stated as $23,113.97, which ia open to public inspection. 10. Said contemplated acqu1s1t1ona and improvements, in the opinion or this Council, are of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and the coat and expense or doing said work ahd the expeneee incidental thereto, shall be ma.de chargeable upon the district benefited thereby, the exterior boundaries of which .1re described as follows; All that terr1.tory bounded northeaaterly by the Southern Pacific Railroad R16ht or Way, southeaeterly by Embarcadero Road, 5outhwester1y by Bl Camino Real, and northwesterly by a line described as tollowa: Beginning at a point on the easterly 11ne or El Camino Real Distant 300.78 feet northwesterly from the northerly line or Wells Avenue, th~nce northeasterly parallel to Wells Avenue 495 feet, thence southeasterly parallel to the Southern Pacific Railroad Right of Way 170 feet, thence north- easterly parallel to the northeasterly extension of Wells Avenue to the southwesterly line or said Southern Pacific Railroad Right or Way. The properties so benefited, and the boundaries thereof, are more particularly shown on the. 1nap of said assessment district on file in the office or the C1ty Clerk, to which reference ie hereby made tor a more detailed description thereof. 11. Property leased by the City from Leland Stanford Jr. University shall be assessed tor its share of the coat ot ea1d benefits and the amount thereof paid in cash by the City. All public streets, alleys and ways in use j,n the pEltormance or the public function shall be omitted rrom the assessment hereinafter to be made to cover the coat or said improvement. 12.
