OP IN'l'KNTION TO MODIFY PRELIMINARY PROCBKDINGS
PROJECT NO. 51-17
BRYANT STREET, ET AL.
ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public con-
venience and nece8s1ty ~equ1re and it 1s the 1ntent1on or the sa1~
Council to modify the prel1.m1nary proceedings under Resolution No.
2186 of Preliminary Determination~ adopted November 26, 1951, as follows:
1. Add the construction of storm water catch basisn, manholes,
drain pipe, and appurtenances in Homer Avenue from High Street to
Bryant Street, in Channing Avenue from Emerson Street to Bryant
Street, 1n Lincoln Avenue from Ramona Street to Bryant Street and
in Ramona Street and High Street from Homer Avenue to Forest Avenue,
together with the construction of all work auxiliary to any of the
above and which may be req:1.1:r.ed to cal·ry out the same.
2. The work and proceedings hereby proposed to be undertaken
are subject to all of the p~ovieions or Resolution No. 2186 of
Preliminary Determination, to which resolution reference 1s made
for further particulars.

3. Notice is hereby given tr~t Monday, the 11th day of
February, 1952, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the Council
Chambers of the Council in the City Hall, are hereby fixed as the
time and plnce when and where any and all person~ interested may
appear and ~:how cause, if any they have, why the Council should j.
not find anu determine that the public convenience and necessity
require the acqu1si tions and improvements described and referred ····
to in this resolution without further compliance with the Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of
1931, as provided in .A.rt:tcle I of the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code.
4. The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of
this resolution by publishing a Notice of Modification of Notice of
Proposed Local Improvement once in the Palo Alto T1mes, a da1ly
newspaper published and circulated in said City and by posting
same on or near the Council Chamber door, said posting and publi-
cation to be at least ten day~ before the date of hearing.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy 01· resolu-
tion adopted by the Council of the Clty of Palo Alto, California,
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of January,
1952, by the following vote of the members thereof:.
