RESOLUTION DECLARING WDDS TO BB A NUISANCI:
Alto_, that RBSOLVRD, by the City Council or the City of Palo
WHEREAS, certain weeds are growing in the City of
Palo Alto upon the various streets, alleye, sidewalks, and
upon private property within said mun1c1pal1ty, which said
weede bear aeede ot the wingy or downy nature, or which may
attain such large growth as to become, when dry, a ~ire
menace, or which are otherwise nox1oue1 and dangeroua.i and
WRERKAS, said weeds constitute a public nuisance;

weeds do now constitute and will continue to constitute a
public nuisance, an.d 1t is ordered that the said. publ1c
nuisance be abated in the manner provided by Article 32 A or
the Codified Ordinance No. Five of the City or Palo Alto, and
that aa1d nuisance ex1sts upon all of the streets, alleys,
sidewalks, and private property w1th1n said c1ty, as ahown,
described and delineated on the several maps or the properties
1n said c1ty which ar~ recorded in the office or the County
Recorder of the County of S&nta Clara, reference 1n ••oh instance
fo1" the description of any particular street, alley, or private
property being hereby made to the several ma.pa aforesaid, and,
in the event of' there being se:i.reral subd1v1s1on .. maps on which
the same lots are shown, reference 1e hereby made to the latest subdi!1s1on map.
AND IT lS ORDERKD that Monday, the 28th day of Januaryp 1952; at the hour or 7:30 P.M. or ea1d day, at
the Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of Palo
Alto located in the City Hall or said City, be and the same
is r~.xed as the time and place when objections to the proposed
destruction or removal of such weeds shall be heard and given due consideration.
The Superintendent or S·treets or said City 1a hereby
ordered and directed to cause notice of said hear1ng to be given
1n the time, manner and form provided in Article 32 A or aa1d
Codified Ordinance No. Five.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolu~
tion was duly and regularly adopted by the City Couna11 of the
City of Palo Alto, Cal1forn1a, at a meeting thereof held on t:be
14th day of January, 1952, by the following vote:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Bishop, Blo1e, Bower, Cashel, Cathcar~, Drysdale,
Gaspar, Hill, Marshall, Miller, Mitchell, Montrou11, Simpson.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
