DETXRMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTER.BS'! AND NBCESSITY DEMAND THE AC-QUISITION AND I~PROVEM!NT OF L.AXD.
The Council or the City or Palo Alto DOES RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. That the pub11c interest and necessity demand
the acquisition and improvement by the City of Palo Alto of the
following:
(1) The addition and improvement of existing
municipally owned real property at the
co~ner of Embarcadero Road and Newell Road
1n the City of Palo Alto, by the acqu1s1t1on
of contiguous adjoining real property and
the improvement thereof, including paving
and 11ght1~g, but exclusive of any bu1ld1nga
thereon.
Section 2. That the acqu1s1t1on and improvement of
said properties are necessary and convenient to carry out the
objects, purposes and powera or said city.
Section 3. That the coat of the acquisition and
completion or said municipal improvement is and will be too
great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue
of aa1d city.
The abo e and foregoing resolution was duly introduced
and passed by the Council or the City or Palo Alto at a regular
meeting held on Monday, the 14th day or January, 1952, by the following vote:
