Q N N 0 • --2191 DETERMINING THAT THE PTJBLIC INTEREST AN"D NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION OF EASE- MENTS FOR PUBLIC STREETS, AND DIRECTING THE AMENDMENT OF !MINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS HIGH STREET EXTENSION, ET AL,_ .ACQUISITION PROJECT NO. -8-1.EJ RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto, Cal1forn1a, that 233 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 1738~ adopt- ed by th1s Council on August 9, 1948, and Resolution No. 1768 or Intention to modify, adopted by this Council on October 11, 1948, this Council did on the 13th day of December, 1948, adopt its Resolution No. 1801 ordering acqu1e1t1on of easements; WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2189 of Preliminary De- term:tnation and of Intention to Make Changes and Mod1f1cat1ona, adopted November 26, 1951, this Council did on December 10, 1951, adopt its Resolution No. 2190 Determ1~1ng Convenience and Necessity ~n~ Ordering Changes and Modifications WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention, as modified, and said proceedings were had and taken pursuant to Article III of Ordinance No. 844 of said City ccmmonly designated as the Palo Alto Improve-· ment Procedure Code, adopted January 13, 1941; lows: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED, aa fol- 1. That the public interest and necessity require the acqui- sition, conBtruction and completion by said City of the public im- provements described 1n sa1d Resolution or Intention, as modified, and 1n the proceedings relac1ng thereto, and that the easements and property proposed to be acquired, as modified, are neceaDary therefor;' 2. That the public necessity requires said acquisitions and improvements, said proposed acqu1a1t1ons and1mprovements, as modi- fied, are planned and located in the manner which would be most compatible with the greatest public gocd and the least private in- jury, that all or said acquisitions are located within territorial limits of the City of Palo Alto; 3. That the City Attorney and the law firm of Messrs. Kirkbride, Wilson, Ha.rz.feld & Wallace, employed for that purpose, be, and they are hereby directed to amend the Complaint filed 1n Action No. 72602 for the acquisition or said easements to cover ·the mod1f1cat1on3 ordered on December 10, 1951, and take such ac- t1cn as is nece5sary therein. 4.
