PROJECT ?IO. Sl-17 22S 2186 - R~OLVED, by the Council of the City or Palo Alto, California, that it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public convenience and necessity require, and that it intends to order the following improvements to be made in and for eaid City, to-wit: l (a). The improving of Bryant Street from Forest Aver1ue to Embarcadero Rc•ad by grading, rernov.ing trees and existing structures, constructing storm water catch bas1ns 1 manholes, drain pipe, and ai)purtenancee and constructing crushed rock base pavement and asphaltic concrete wearing surface between gutter lips. (b) The construction or &11 work auxiliary to the above and which may be required to carry out same. 2. There is hereby exeept:ed from the above work that which iD already done to line and grade. 3. Notice is hereby g1ven or the fact that 1n many eases said work and improvement will bring the ftnished surface of the improved streets to a grade different from the eurface of such streets ae they now exist, and that to said extent said grades are hereby changed and that aald work will be done to said changed grades. 4. All of said work shall be done under the supervision of the City Engineer of the City of Palo Alto, and all of said work and materials shall be done and furnished to his sat12ract1on. 5. Said contemplated work and improvements are of more than local or ordinary public benefit; and the cost and expenses of doing said work and the expenses incidental thereto, shall be made chargeable upon the district benefited thereby, the boundaries of which are more particularly ahown on the map or said assessment district on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, to which reference is hereby made for a more detailed descr1pt1on thereof. 6. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed four per cent (4%) per annum, will be issued pursuant to Part 4, Bon~ Plan C or Article IV of the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code, the last installment or. which shall mature nine (9) years from the second day or July next succeeding ten months from their date. 7. Except as here1n otherwise provided 'for the issuance of bonds. all of the a.bove proposed work shall be done in pur- suance or the orovia1oris of Art1cle "V of said Palo Alto Irnprov~­ment Procedure, Code. 8.
