The Construction of slDrm water catch basins, man- holes, drain pipe, and appurtenances in Urban Lane from Homer Avenue northerly 350 feet more or less, Wells Avenue from Bl Cam:lno Real to Urban Lane, and Homer Avenue from El Camino Real to Urban Lane, thence easterly in an easement of the City of Palo A1to to the northwesterly.te:-minus or Lucas Lane 1 thence along Lucas Lane to its southeasterly terminus, thence southeasterly in an easement to be acquired in the southeasterly prolongation of Lucas Lane to a point 1n the southwesterly prolongation or Addison Avenue, thence northeasterly along said southwesterly prolongation across the Southern Pacif.:1.c Railroad Right or Way and along Addison Avenue to an existing manhole at the inter- section or Addison Avenue and Bryant Street. (b). The Construction of all work auxiliary to the above and which may b€ required to carry out same. 2. There is hereby excepted from the above work that which 1s already done to line and grade. 3. Notice is hereby given of the fact that in many cases said wo!'k and improvement will bring the finished aurfac~ of the improved streets to a grade ·d1rrerent from the surfac~ of si1ch streets as they now exist, and that to said extent aa1d ~r~dP-~ are hereby changed and that said work will be done to 2a1d changed gr~ues. 4. All of said work shall be done under the auperv1s1on of the City Engineer of the City of Palo Al.to, and all or said work and materials shall be done and furnished to his sat1s-fact1on. 5. Said contemplated work, acquisitions and improvements 223 are of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and the cost and expense or doing said work and the expenses incidental thereto, shall be mad' chargeable upon the district benefited thereby, the boundaries of which are more particula.rly st.~own on the map of said assessment d:1.str1ct on file 1n the office or the City Engineer of said City, to whlch reference is hereby made for a more detail- ed description thereof. 6. Not1ce is hereby given that serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed four per cent (4~) per annum, will be issued pursuant to Part 4, Bond Plan C of Article TV of the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code, the last installment of which shall mature nine (9) years from the second day or July next succeeding ten months from their date. •• .. Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance or bonds, all of the above proposed work shall be done in pur- suance of the prov1s1ons of Article V of said Palo Alto Improve- ment Procedure Code. 8. Notice 1s hereby given that Monday, the 28th day or January> 1952 at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers of the City Council of said City in the City Hall or said City al"'! hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may appear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find and determine that the public convenience and neceas1 ty require the 1nrprovements d.eaeribed and referred to in this resolution, without further compliance with the Special Aaeesst:1ent Invest1ga.t1on1 L1m1 ta ti on and ?'Kt.Jori ty Protest Act or 1931. 9. The Clerk of the City or Palo Alto shall give notice of the adoption of this resolution by publishing a Notice of Pro- posed Local Improvement once in the Palo Alto Times, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, and by posting same on or near the Council Chamber door of said Council., said posting and publication to be had at lea3t ten days before sa1d date or hearing. * * * * * * * * I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of resolu- tion adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 26th day or November, 1951, by the·following vote or the members thereof: AYES, and 1n favor thereof, Councilmen: B.:1.shop, Blois, Bowden, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale, Gaspar, Hill, Miller, Mitchell, Montrou:1.l, Simpson, Wickett.
