The Council or the City or Palo Alto DOES RBSOLVB as follows:
Section 1. That it 1s the intention ot the Council of the City of Palo Alto to order the following work and improvement to be done 1n said city:
That Kl Capitan Road between Alma Street and
Ramona Street, and bet~een Bryant Street and
Waverley Street, aa shown on that certain Map
No. l or Stanford City, recorded May 3, 1910
in Book eJtl", page 97 of Official Records of
Santa Clara County, and described in four par-cels aa follows:
PARCEL ONE: Between South Court (tormerly called
Miarona Avenue) and Waverley Street (formerly called Waverley Ave.). -
PARCEL TWO: El Capitan Road between Bryant Street
(formerly called Manzanita Avenue) and South
Court {formerly called Madrona Avenue).
PARCEL THREE: Bl Capitan Road between Emereon Street
{formerly called Santa Clara Avenue) and Ramona
Street (formerly called Monte Vista Avenue).
PARCEL POUR: That portion of El Capitan Road between
ll"mi Street (formerly Cal1forn1a Boulevard) and
Bmereon Street (formerly called Santa Clara
Avenue) and described as follows, to wit:
Beg1nn1ng at the most Southerly corner or Lot l, Block 6, as ehown on that certain Map No. l
or Stanford City, recorded May 3, 1910, in Book
"M", Page 97, Official Records of Santa Clara
County; thence No. 38° 15' R. along the N.W. line
of El Capitan Road 269 feet to the s.w. line of
Emerson Street, formerly called Sa~ta Clara
Avgnue; thence S. 51° 45' E. 60 feet; thence S·
38 15' W. along the S. E. 11ne of Bl Capitan
Road 244.11 feet to the N.W. line or Loma Verde
Avenue as it exists 35 feet wide; thence S. 56°
42' W. along said line of Loma Verde Avenue 26.20
feet; thence N. 51° 45 1 W. 51.819 to the point of beginning.

Section 2. That 1n the opinion or the Council no
assessment io necessary for th1e proceeding.
Section 3. Said work and improvement is to be had and
taken pursuant to the provisions or Article 3 or Ordinance
No. 8~4 or the City of Palo Alto, commonly known and designated

aa the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code, aaid ordinance having
been adopted by the Council or the City of Palo Alto on January 13, 19-1.
Section 4. For a more particular deecr1pt1on or the
work to be done hereunder, reference 1e hereby made to that
certain map or plat on tile with the Superintendent of Streets
of the City or Palo Alto entitled "Map r.or the closing
or 11 Capitan Road between Alma Street and Ramona Street, as
shown on Drawing No. 11,750, and between Bryant Street and
Waverley Street, as shown on Drawing No. 11751, prepared by
H. M. Witbeck, Street Sup~rintendent and City Engineer of the
City or Palo Alto on November 7, 1951.
Section 5. Notice is hereby g1ven that Monday, December
10, 1951, at the hour or 7:30 P. M., at the Counc11 Chambers
or the City or Palo Alto, in the City Hall, Palo Alto, ca11r-
orn1a, be and the aame is hereby set as the day, hour and
place where and when any and all persons having any objections
to the proposed work or 1m~~ovementa, may appear before said
Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be
carried out 1n accordance with th1B resolution.
Section 6. The Daily Palo Alto Times, a daily newspaper
published and circulated in the City of Palo Alto, or general
circulation, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which
the City Clerk or the City or Palo Alto shall cause to be
published 1n the manner and form required by law, a copy or
this Resolution or Intention, by causing same to be published
twice 1.n said newspaper prior to the date of the hearing or
objections to the proposed work and improvement.
Section 7. The Superintendent of Streets or said city
shall cause to be conspicuously posted on one side of the
above ment10ned street, along the 11ne or said contemplated
work and improvement, notices or the paeeage or this resolution
or 1ntent1on in the time, manner and rorm prescribed by law.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly ·
introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of
the City or Palo Alto, hel.d on the 13th day of November, 1951,
by the following vote:
