AU'l'HOR!ZING MAYOR AND CITY CLEI<K TO
EXECUTE DEED.
WHEREAS, an offer has been made by Carleton Whitehead
to purchase the following described property on the following
te~ms: Payment of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) cash,
as:rnmpt1on by purchaser of street bonds of approximately 14'1 ve
Hundred fourteen and 49/100 Dollors($514.48), prorated as or
closing date, no real estate cornm1ss1on to be paid by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council or 'the City of Palo Alto
DOF.S RESOLVE as follows:
That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they nre hereby
authorized to execute a grant deed on behalf of the City, con-
vey1n3 the following described property to Carleton Whiteheadp
subject to bond Jssessments, upon receipt or One Thousand
Dollars ($1,000.00) cash, Clty to pay title 1nsurance fee and
pro rata of bond assessment:
All that certain Parcel of land situate in the
City of Palo Al to, County of' Santa Clara.• State
or California, described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
Northeasterly line of Alma Street, formerly California
Boulevard, with the line dividing Lots 1 and 2 in Block
2, as said Street, Lots and Blocks are shown upon the
Map hereinafter referred to, thence along said line of
Alma Street, S. 51° 45 1 E. 65.00 feet to the center
line of El Dorado Avenue, formerly El Dorado Road,
70 foet wide, (now abandoned), as said Avenue ls shown
upon said Map, thence along said center line, N. 38°
15' E. 134.50 .feet to the Southeasterly prolongation of
the r10rtheasterly line or said Lot l in Block 2,
above referred to, thence along said prolonged line
and said Northeasterly 1:1.ne of Lot 1 1n Block 2,
N. 51° 45' W. 65.00 feet to said line dividing
said Lots l and 2 in Block 2 above referred to,
thence along said dividing line, S. 38° 15' W.
134.50 feet to the point of beginning and being
Lot 1 in Bloct 2 as delineated and so designated
upon that certain Map entitled, 11 Map or Stanford
City," which said Map was filed for record in the
office of the Recorder of the County or Santa
Clararl State or California, on May 3, 1910, in
Book M" of Maps, page 97, and. including that
portion of the Northwesterly 1/2 of El Dorado
Avenue, formerly El Dorado Road, ad.1o1n1ng said
Lot l in Block 2 on the Southeast as shown on
said Map, as said Avenue was abandoned by order or the City Council or the City of Palo Alto by
Resolution No. 1329 passed May 5, 19~1 a cer-
tified copy of which was recorded May $, 1941 1n
Book 1038 of Official Records, page 293.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
passed by the City Council at its regular meetin3 held on Monday,
the 24th day of September, 1951, by the following vote:
