ACQUISITION A."'ID IMPROVEMENT RESOLVED, by the Co~mcll of the City of Palo Alto, Cal1forn1a, that 1t does hereby preliminarily determine that the public interest, convenience and necessity require, and that it 153 is the intention of aald Council to make certain changes and modi- fica t1on:: in the work to be done under Resolution No. 2086 of Prellmina.ry Determination and Resolution No. 2089 of Intention adopted by this Council on March 26, 1951, and April 9, 1951, respectively, to wit: 1. Modify the work to be done and the plans and spec1f!ca- tions therefor to show the conatruct1on or storm sewer pipe to- gether with catch baa:lns, manholes and appurtenances J.n Diss Road from Middlefield Road northeasterly to Ross Road and in easements to be acquired in the northeasterly prolongation of Dles Road 1100 feat more or less, thence easterly to a point :t'n Adobe Creek 1600 feet more or leas southerly of Bayshore Highway, together with all other work auxiliary to any of the above which may be required to carry out the same. 2. Modify the bo1.mdaries of the assessment district and the assessment diagram to include the territory bounded on the north by the Pacific Gas & Electric Right of Way, on the northwest by Dry Creek, on the southwest by the southerly boundary of Tract No. 587, said boundary also being the northerly boundary of Stanford University Villa Tract, and by the southeasterly prolongatlon of Waverley Avenue, on the southeast by Charleston Road, and on the northeast by Adobe Creek, excepting therefrom these parcels south- easterly of the southeasterly line of 1'<1.ayf1eld Homealtes and said line extended northeasterly 280 feet more or less, which parcels do not front on the proposed improvement. 3. Modjfy the assessment by increasing the total assess- r:ient by the estimated cost, lnclusi ve of' 1nc1cl.ental expenses, of the proposed storm drainage facilities and acquisitions and apportion and distribute said assessment as increased according to 'benef 1 ts. 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall change and modify the as5essment, plans and speclfications, diagram and estimate of cost to reflect the above changes, by either changing the:n on their race or by filing amendments thereto. 5. Modified assessment, plans and specifications, diagram and estimate of costs are hereby prel1m1nar1ly approved and ordered f1 led in the off ice of the C1 ty Clerk. Monday, the 27th day of August, 1951, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place when and where said Council will consider and finally determine whether the public interest, convenience and necessity requlre said changes, and when and where it will consider and finally act upon the matter or making said changes and modifications and when and where it will hear all protests in relation thereto. :::.
