PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS
STREET LIGHTING RECONSTRUCTION
DISTRICT ONE
PROJECT NO. 50-1

that RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, aa1d Council did on the 12th day or June, 1950,
adoDt its Resolution or Intention No. 1990 relating to certain work
to be done and improve111ttnta and acqu1s1t1ona to be made in aa1d
City under and pursuant to the prov1aions or Article V or Ordinance
No. 844 of aa1d City, adopted January 13, 1951, entitled "Palo
Alto Improvement Procedure Code", and did therein provide that
serial bonds would be issued thereunder pursuant to the provisions
of Part 4, Bond Plan C of Article rv or said Code, reference to
sa1d Resolution of Intention being hereby expressly made for fur-
ther particulars;
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1951, the Superintendent of Street3 of
said City or Palo Alto filed with the Clerk or said City a complete
list of all assessments unpaid thereunder upon the respective
aseesament and diagram number thereon, whereupon said Clerk gave
notice of the filing of said list and fixed in ee1d notice Monday,
the 23rd day or July, 1951, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., as
the time when interested persons might appear before the Council,
at the regular meeting place of ea1d Council in the City Hall in
said City, and show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the
sect.tri ty or· the unpaid assessments shown on said list, all or which
appears from affidavit~ on file 1n the office of said Clerk;
WHEREAS, no protests or objections against the issuance of
said bonds were presented before or at the time fixed for Ba1d hearingj
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RE.SOLVED, FOUND and DETERMINED, a.e follows:
l. That said llet of asseBsments unpaid filed by aald
Superintendent of Streets as aroreea1d was at the time or f 111ng
thereof in all respects complete and correct, and that since the
f111ng thereof no assessments have been paid and aleo that the
unpaid assessments in the proceedings duly had and taken under and
pursuant to sa1d Resolution of Intention are as followo:

2. That for a particular descr1pt1on of the lots bearing
the respective aeeessment numbers above set forth and upon which
aeeeesments remain unpaid as above stated, severally and respec-
ti ,,ely, reference 1s hereby made to sa1d aaaeaement and to the
"'diagram recorded. in the office or the said Superintend.ent or
Streets ar~er conr1rmat1on by said Council, the several lots
represented by sald aeeessment numbers above set forth being so
numbered and designated upon said diagram and assessment as so
confirmed and recorded, severally and respectively.
3. That the total or aggregate amount or said assessments unpaid is the sum of $8,397.94. ·
4. That bonds shall be issued upon the security of said
unpaid assessments in the amount of $8,397.90 in accordance with
the provisions or Part 4, Bond Plan C of Article IV or the Palo
Alto Improvement Procedure Code, and under and pursuant to the
provisions or Resolution ot Intention No. 1990 and the proceedings
thereunder dulymd and taken; that said bonds shall be ten
(10) 1n number, shall be dated June 27~ l95ll and bear 1.nterest
at the rate of not to exceed four per cent (4~) per annum from
June 27, 1951, and the denomination of said bonds and their
respective numbers and dates of matu.r1ty are as follows:

5. That said bonds shall be issued in series, and the unpaid
assessments as shown on said list £11ed by the Superintendent or
Streets and determined by said Council,, together with the interest
thereon, Bhall remain and constitute a trust fund for the redemp-
tion and payment or ea1d bonds and of the interest which may be due
thereon, which unpaid asseesments shall be payable in annual series
correepondi11g :tn number to the number of series or bond 1seued, and
an even annual proportion of each assessment shall be payable in
each year preceding the date of the maturity for each or the sever-
al series of bond.a issued, and such proportion or each assessment
coming due in any year, together w1th the annual interest thereon,
shall 1n turn be payable 1n installments as the general taxes of
said City <)n real property are payable, and shall become del1nquent
at the same times and. in the same proportionate amounts and bear
the same proportionate penalties for de11nquency.
That the s~gnatures or the Mayor and Treasurer be 1mpressed
upon sa1d bonds by engraved or lithographed process and that said
C1ty Clerk physically sign said bonds and aff1~ thereto the cor-
porate saal or said City; the interest coupons affixed thereto
shall be signed by sald Treasurer or bear his engraved, pr:'.l.nted or
lithographed signature; and suc.h s1gn1ng and sealing of said bonds
by ~ald officers, and s1gn1ng of said coupons by sa1d Treasurer,
shall constitute and be a surr1c1ent and binding execution or each
and every one of said bonde and all or the coupons thereof reapec-
ti ve ly. Said bonds shall be substantially in the form set forth in
Bond Plan C of Article IV of said Pa.lo Alto Impro\•ement Procedure
Code; said Treasurer and said Mayor and said Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to so sign and attest respectively.
6. That the interest coupons attached to each of said bonds
and evidencing the1nterest to accrue thereon shall be numbered
consecutlvely and be sub3tant1ally 1n the following form, to-wit:

tion adopted by the City Council or the City or Palo Alto, Califor-
nia, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day or July, 1951, by the following vote:
