RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Culifornia, that
WHEREAS, the Council d:d on the 9th day of Aprll, 1951,
adopt lts Resolution No. 2089 of Intention to order work to be
done and improvements to be made in said City, all as more
partic~larly descrlbed and set forth in said Resolution of Intention.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Clty Clerk is hereby directed to
publish in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general clrculation,
prlnted, published and circulated in said City and hereby deslg-n,~ited by sa.id Council for that purpose, a Notice IY1v1t1ng Sealed
Proposals for doing the worl( <:i.nd maklrig; the improvements described
ln said Resolution of Intention, and referring to the plans and
spec1f!cat1o~s on r::e ln the office of the Clty Clerk.
All proposals or blds shall be accompanied by a check payable
to the City of Palo Alto, ccrt1fled by a responsible bank, for an
amoL:nt wh:1.ch shall not be l•Z!ss than ten per cent ( 10%) of the
aggregate of the proposal, or by a bona for said amount and so
payable, s l gned by the bidder and a corporate s~1rety or two lndl-
v1dual zuretles, who shall justify before any officer competent
to administer oaths, in double the said amount, and over and above all otatutory exemptions.
Sald sealed proposals shall be del!vered to the City Clerk,
on or before 2:00 P.M. of Fri.day, the 10th day of Aug:..ist, 1951, sald
time belng not less than ten day$ .from the time of the first publico.-
t!on of s~ld notlce. Bids wlll be opened, examined and declared on
sa;.d day and hour by the City JV'iana~er, 1n the Council Chambers ln the
CityHall, who shall report to the Council his ~:ndings, wh:ch f1nd1nga
shall be considered by sald Council at its meeting to be held at sa:d ~lace on Monday, August 13, 1951, at 7:30 P.M.
