RFSOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public inter-
est, convenience and necess1ty require, and that it ls the inten-
tion or said Councll to make certain changes and modlf1cat1ons in
the proceedings under Resolution No. 2086 or Prel~m1nary Deter-
mination and Resolution No. 2089 or Intention adopted by this
Colmcil on March 26, 1951, and April 9, 1951, respectively, to wit:
1. Modify the assessment and diagram and the boundaries of
the assessment d1::itr.1ct for the purpose or sp:c-ead.1ng the cost or
construction of a storm sewer pipe together with catch basins and
manholes 1n Diss Road from Middlefield Road southwesterly to a
point 275 feet, more or less, southerly of' Cowper Street, sale
boundaries to include all property bounded southerly by Waverley
Street and its southeasterly extension, westerly by the westerly
boundary or Tract No. 587; northerly by Middlefield Road; and
easterly bji' a line parallel to and approx.J.mately 1520 feet south-
easterly or D1ss Road. Said boundaries are shown on a map of the
assessment diatrlct, as proposed to be mnd!f1ed, on file in the
office o~ the City Engineer, to which rnap reference is made for particulars.
2. The Super1ntendcnt or Streets shall change and modify the
assessment and diagram and the boundaries of the assessmc~t dls-
tr 1 ct to retlect the above changes, by either ~hanging th~m on
the1r race or by flling amendments thereto.
Monday, the 23rd day of July,, 1951, at the hour or 7:30
o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto,
California, are hereby 1'1xed as the time and place when and where
said Councll Will conslder and flnally determ1ne whether the public
interest, convenience and necessity require said changes, and
when and where lt will consider and finally act upon the matter or
making said changes and modiflcations and when and where it w.lll
hear all protests 1n relation thereto.
The C~. ty Cler!{ shall cause a copy or this resolution to be
published twice 1n the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general
circulation published in said Cl ty, the fil"St of which publicat.:on::
shall be at least ten days before the day set for hearing.
The City Clerk shall also cause a copy of this resolution
to be posted on or near the Chamber Door of the City Council at
least ten days prior to said day or hearing.
