CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS

ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT
that RESOLVED, by the Council cf the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, the Council did on the 9th day or April, 1951, adopt ite Resolution No. 2093 of Intention to order work to be done and
improvements to be made in said City, all as more particularly
described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention.
·NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk ia hereby directed to publish
in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general c1rculat1on, prin-
ted, published and circulated in said City and hereby designated
by na1d Courlc11 for that purpose, a Notice Inv1 ting Sealed Pro-
posals for doing the work and making the improvements described
in fJald Resolution or Intention, and reterr1ng 'to the plans and
spec1f1cat1one on file in the office of the City Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a check payable
to the C1ty of Palo Alto, certified by a responsible bank, for an amoutit which shall not be less than ten per cent (10%) of the
aggregate or the proposal, or by a bond for said amount and so
payable, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or two indi-
vidual sureties, who aha.11 justify before any orr1cer competent
to administer oaths, in double the said amount, and over and above
all statutory exemptions.
Sald sealed proposals shall be delivered to the City Clerk,
on or before 2:00 P.M. or Friday, the 6th day of July, 1951, said
time being not less than ten days from the time or the first publica-
tion or said notice. Bids will be opened, examined and declared on said
day and hour by the City Manager, 1n the Council Chambers in the City
Hall, who shall report to the Council his findings, which findings
shall be considered by sa1d Council at its meeting to be held a~ sa1d place on Monday, July 9, 1951, at 7:30 P.M.

I hereby certify that the above and roreg<,ing resolution
was duly and regularly adopted by the C~unc11 of the City or Palo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 11th day or
June, 1951, by the following vote or the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor there"r, Councilmen:
Blois, Bolander, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, Drysdale,
Hill, Linder, Miller, Montreuil, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT; Councilmen: Freedman, Oaepar.
