Q. . 2117 ORDERING .ACQUISITIONS AND RBSXRVING JURISDICTION TO ORDER IMPROVEMEHTS AND CONFIRM ASSBSSMIN'l' PROJECT NO. 51-1 THIRD STRUT, et al. ACQUISITION AHD IMPRO'VBMIDf'l' that RESOLVED, by the Council or the City or Palo Alto, Calitornia, WHERIAS, the Council did on the 9th day or April, 1951, adopt its Resolution or Intentio11 No~ 2093 to order certain acqu1a1t1ona und 1mprov~menta to be made in said City, under and pursuant to Article V or Ordinance No. 844 or aaid City, adopted January 13, 1941, entitled "Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code", and to issue bonds pursuant to Part 5, Bond Plan C ot Article IV ot said Ordinance No. 84~, reference to which resolution 1s hereby made i~or a particular descriptjon of the acqu1ait1ona and improvements toa:e made, the boundaries or the asaeosment d1atriet and the bonds to be 1asued; WHEREAS. ea1d Resolution or Intention No. 2093 has been duly pul!iliahed twice in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general cir- culation printed and published 1n oa1d City, wherein all persona interested, having any objections to the proposed. acqu1a1t1ona and improvements, or against the d1atr1ct to be assessed for the coats and expenses thereof, or the Engineer's estimate or the coats and expenses thereof, or aga1rust the grades at. which said work shall be done~ or against the diagram or assessment, were notified or the time and place or the hearing as contd.ned in eaid Resolution or Intention; said Resolution ot Intention wa8 duly published within the time and in the manner provided in said Im- provement Procedure Code, and as directed by said Resolution or Intention, as appears from the arr1davit of publication on file 1n the office or the·c1ty Clerk of said City; WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said hearing protmtta or ipbject1ons were made or presented to the proposed ac- Quisj. t1ons and improvemen1;s, or to the district to be asses:sed, or to the grades at which aa1d work waa to be done, or to the bonds to be :1eaued to pay the costs and expenses thereof, or to the Eng1nuerts estimate or the costs and expansee thereor-, or against the diagram or assessment, and all persona interested desiring to bei heard were given an opportunity to be heard, and all matters and things pertaining to said proposed acqu1a1t1ons and improve- ments were duly heard and considered by said Council, and were overruled, and aaid Couno11 hae acquired Jur1ad1ct1on to order said acqu1a1t1ons and improvements and the confirmation or said as- sessment to pay the costs and expenses thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, said Council does hereby-FIND,. DETERMINE and ORDER, as follows: 1. The Plana and spec1f1cat1onB, the estimate ot costs, the maps and descr1pt1one or lands and easements to be acquired, and the estimated aaaesament are hereby modified to delete all acqu1- a1 t1ons and improvements on Second Street between Sheridan Avenue and Page Mill Road. . . 108 • .. ....,.,, ... ,.,, ..... , ..... , ........
