CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
PROJECT NO. 51-5
SAN ANTONIO ANNEX SEWERS
ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Califor-nia, that
WHEREAS, the Council d1d on the 9th day of April, 1951,
adopt its Resolution No. 2094 or Intention to order work to be
done and improvements to be ma.de 1n said City, all as more particu-
larly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention.
NOW,THEREFORE, the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper or general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in said City and hereby designated by said
Council for that purpose, a Mot1ce Inviting Sealed Proposals for
doing the work and making the improvements described in said
Resolution or Intent1oTI, and rererr1ng to the plans and specifica-tions on f1le in the office of the City Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a check payable
to the City of Palo Alto, certified by a responsible bank, for an
amount which shall not be less than ten per cent (lOjt) of the
aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for said amount and so
payable. signed by the bidder and a corpot"ate surety or two 1nd1 vi-
dual sureties,, who shall .1ust1fy before ar:1y officer competent to
administer oaths,, in double the said amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said sealed proposals shall be delivered to the City Clerk,
on or before 2:00 P.M. of Friday, the 8th day or June, 1951, said
time being not less than ten days from the time of the first publication or said notice. Bids will be opened, examined and declared on said day
and hour by the City Manager, in the Counc:1 l Cr.ambers in the Cit~· H~l 1,
who shall report to the Council h1a f:tndirigs, which f1nd:lngs shall be
:on~1dercd by said Council at its meeting to be held at said place on
MonC!n.y, .June 11, 1951, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.

I hereby certlfy that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly adopted by the Council or the City of Palo
Alto, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 14th
day of May, 1951, by the following vote of the members thereof:
