N 0 • 2.10~ RE:QUESTINO PAYMENT OF .ASSESSMENT FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS BY PALO ALTO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT PROJECT NO. 49-10 AMARILLO AVE., et al ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT RESOLVED, b1 the Co·uncil of the City or Palo Alto, Ca11rorn1a, WHEREAS, this Council has undertaken proceedings pursuant to Article V or the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code tor the acqu131t1on or. easements and construction of street improvements frontlng on property of the Palo Alto Unified School District between Dis~ Road and Charleston Road in Palo Alto, and ror asaes3- 1ng the cost thereof upon a district benefited thereby, which district and the exterior boundaries thereof are more particularly set forth 1n Hesolution of Intention No. 2089 adopted by this Council on April 9, 1951, to which reference is hereby made for rurther part1eulare; WHEREAS, this Council caused to be prepa'.t'"ed and preliminarily approved an asse~sment approt1on1ng and spreading the estimated coats thereof upon the ·properties benef1 ted thereby whei•e1n the parcel of land owned by the Palo Alto Unified School D1str1ct was assessed for $16,406.78, which amount is subject to be increased or dec:t•eaeed upon receipt and analysis or bide for the work; WHEREAS, the amount of said assessment is the fair portion of the estimate~ cost or said project in the same proportion as all other properties in said aaaessment district are assessed; and WH.EREAS, the source of revenue and persons interested in the use of said school district property are greater in area than the exterior boundaries or either the assessment district or the City or Palo Alto and the assessment may therefore be more equitably paid rrom runds or the District than by the property owners within said asseaBment district or from funds or 3aid City; NOW, THEREFORE, request is hereby made that the Board of Education of Palo Alto Unified School Diatrict adopt a resolution authorizing and directing payment of the sum of $16,406.78, or said sum an adjusted after receipt of bids, to the City or Palo Alto. The City Clerk ls authorized and directed to send a certified COf>Y or this resolution to the Palo Alto Unified School District. * * * * * * I hereby certify that the above and foregoing reaolut1on was duly and regularly adopted by the Council or the City of Palo Alto, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day of May. 1951, by the following vote of the members thereof: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Blois, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Drysdale, Gaspar, H111 1 Mitchell, Montreuil, Wickett.
