'r "'"' 80 that R E S 0 LU T I 0 N ----------N 0 • ~ REQUESTING THE HONORABLE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OP SANTA CLA.RA, STATE OF CALI- FORNIA,, TO ESTABLISH A MUNICIPAL COURT DISTRICT,, CONSISTING OP PALO ALTO TOWNSHIP AND FREMONT TOWNSHIP,, WITH THE S1'~AT OF THE COURT AT PALO ALTO. RESOLVED by the City Council ot the City of Palo Alto, WHEREAS,, the population of Palo Alto Township and Fremont Township exceeds 40,000; and WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto 1s the largest incor- porated area 1n the northern portion of the County of Santa Clara, and 1~ the logical seat for a municipal court; and WHF.REAS, the City of Palo Alto now has adequate court- room fi:Lcil1t1es, judges' chambers and clerks' chambers located adjacent to the City Hall Park, in the City or Palo Alto, for a municipal court; and WHEREAS, the City Counc11 of the City of Palo Alto desires to make said courtroom fac1l1t1ea available to the Board of Superv.1sora of the County ot Santa Clara; Now, therefore, it 1~ hereby RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, that; 1. The Board of Supervisors establish a municipal court district, composed of Palo Alto Township and Fremont Township, w1th a municipal court sitting 1n the Clty of Palo Alto, with adequate provision for hearing criminal sessions in the City or Mountain View. 2. The present Police Court raci11t1es of the City of Palo Aoto be made available to the Board of Supervisors aa courtroom facilities for said municipal court. * ... * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoj.n.g resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto, California at a meeting thereof held on the 9th day or April, 1951, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor thereof, Counc:Umen: Bolander, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Drysdale, Freedman .• Gaspar, Hill, Linder, Montreuil.
