RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Cal1fvrn1a,
that the public convenience and necessity require and it is the
intention or the said Council to mo61fy the preliminary proceedings
under Resolution No. 2o67 or Preliminary Determ1nat1on, adopted
P'ebruary 13, 1951, a8 follows:
1. Add the 1mprov1ng of First Street, Second Street, and
Third Street between California Avenue and Sherman Avenue by 1n-a tall1ng electrol1er conduit.
2. The improving or Third Street between California Avenue
and Page Mill Road by constructing or reconstructing Portlabd
cement concrete gutters.
3. The improving of Third Street between Sheridan Avenue
and Page Mill Road by constructing or reconstructing storm water manholes.
4. All work and acquisitions auxiliary to and necessary to
complete the foregoing acquisitions and improvements.
5. The work and proceedings hereby proposed to be undertaken
are subJect to all of the provisions or Resolution No. 2067 or
rrel1m1nary Determination, to which resolution reference 1s made ror further particulars.
6. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 23rd day or
April, 1951, at the hour of 7:30 oclock P.M., at the
Council Chambers of the Council in the CityHall, are hereby fixed
as the time and place when and where any and all persona interested
may appear and show cause, 1r any tHey have, why the Council should
not .find and determine that the public convenience and necessity
require tha acquisitions and improvements described and referred
to in this resolution without further compliance with the Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation acd Majority Protest Act of
1931, as provided in Article I of the Palo Alto Improvement Pro-cedure Code.
7. The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption or this
resolution by publishing a Notice of Modification or Notice or
Proposed Local Improvement once in the Palo Alto Times, a daily
newspaper published and circulated in said City and by posting
same on or near the Council Chamber door, said posting and publi-
cation to be at least ten days before the date or hearing.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of resolu-
tion adopted by the Council of the City or Palo Alto, California,
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day or April,
1951, by the following vote of the members thereof:
