I~ I i ~¥ P~, ' R E S 0 L U T I 0 N ----------N .Q • 2o63 WH.BREAS, the State of Cal1torn1a under Chapter 47 1 Statutes ot 1944 (4th Extra Session), has appropriated funds tor allotment by the Director or Flnance to provide financial aae1etance to Local Agencies defined therein aa counties, cities or cities and counties ror tho purpose or defra.y1ng not to exceed one-halt the coat or preparing engineering tield surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and working and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans11 ) required tor postwar public works projecte dea~r1bed as "specific projects" in said Act; and VllERKAS, the City of Palo Alto, hereinafter designated as "Local Agency", desires to apply to the Director ot 11nance and/or the State Allocation Board, as the case ma~ be, for an allotment ot the State's share or the estimated coat or preparing the completed plane hereinafter mentioned and there baa been prepared and presented to thls legislative body for co:na1derat1on an .. appl1cat1on tor each purpose; and WHEREAS, Local Agency hae provided, or will make available upon approval of the aforementioned application, su1"f1c1ent funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the aforesaid application to the Director or Finance and/or the State Allocation Boar'<!, as the caae may be, requesting allotment or Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-two Dollars and Twenty Cents (11,942.20), ~1ng not more than one-half the cost of preparing said competed plans, or tor such amount aa may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board (said allotment to be used for the pur- pose of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required), for a specific project to be undertaken by local agency and described as CityHall; be it further RF.SOLVED, That the estimated cost ot prepa~1ng such plans 1s $24,ooo.oo, and that local agency has made provision ror paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans; be it further RF.SOLVED, That for the purposes or this application, 9 Walter S. Gaspar, Mayor or the City_ or Palo Alto, be and he is hereby designated as the authorized agent or local ageDcy and 1s hereby authorized and directed to sign the above-mentioned appl1- ca t1on on behalf of the local agency and submit the same to the Director or Finance and/or the Sate Allocation Board together with a certified statement or the estimated coat or preparing such plans and such other information aa may be required; and said authorized agent is further auth0~1zed and directed as the representative or local agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including submission to the Director or Finance or applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure re1mburse111ent for the State'B share of the expenditure made 1n preparing said completed plans.
