RF.SOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING T~ CALI~ORNIA DISASTE.~ AND CIVIL DEFENSE
MASTER MTJTUAL AID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, EARL WARRh"'N, Governor o t' the State o!' Ca 11 f ornla,
ori the 15th day of November, 1950, executed the California Disaster
and Civil Defense ~.aster Mutual Aid Agreement on behalf or the
State or Cal1:rorn1a and all its Departments and Agencies; and

WHEREAS, natural or man-made disasters may place a burden
on the C1ty far beyond the capacity or its own protective facilities; and
WHER€AS, mutual Aid rully participated 1n by nJ.l public
agencies will serve best to meet the civil defense beend of
local government and the State.: and
WEE.REAS, such mutual aid is hereby found to be for the
direct protection and benefit of the 1nhab1ta11ts and property of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Pa.lo Alto does, by this resolution hereby approve and
agree to abide by Raid California Disaster and Civil Defense
Master Mutual Aid Agre~ment; and the Clerk of thin Council 1s
hereby authorized and directed to send two certified copies of
this resolution to the State Disaster Council for filing with said State D1sneter Council.
Adopted and approved this 26th day of December, 1950.
