RF.SOLUTION DECLARING WEEDS TO BE A
NUISANCE
RESOLVED, by the City Council or the City of Palo Alto,
that
WHEREAS~ certain weeds are growing in the City of Pnlo
Alto ~.rpon the various streets, alleys, sidewalks, and upon private
property within sa.id municipality, which said weeds bear seeds of
a winr;y or downy nature, or which may attain such large growth
as to become. wher1 dry, ;:i. fire men:ice, or which are otherwise
nox1~us and dangerous; and
WHEREAS, said weeds constitute a public nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that said weeds
do now conatltute and will continue to constitute a public
nu1sance, and it is ordered that the said public nuisance be
abated in the manner provided by Article 32 A of the Codified
Ordinance No. ?1ve of the City of Palo Alto, and that said
nulsance exists upon all of the streets, alleys, Sidewalks, and
prlvate property w1thln said city, as shown, described and
delineated on the several. mups of the properties in said city
whlch are recorded 1n the office of the County Recorder of the
County of Sant3 Clara, reference in each instance for the descrip-
tion of any particular street, alley, or private property being
hereby made to the several ma~s afore~rnid, and, in the event of
there be!.n£; sev'?ral subdivision maps on which the same lots :ire
chown, r~f'crence is hereby made to the latest Gubdivision map.
AND IT IS ORDERED that Monday, the 11th day of
December, 1950, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. of said day,
at t~1e Counci 1 Chambers of the Cl ty Councl 1 of the City of
Palo AJ..to located in the City Hall of said C1ty, be and the same
is fixed us the time a"1d place when objections to the proposed
deztruct.1.cn or removal or such weeds shall be heard and given
cl:le consideration.
The Superintendent of Streets of sald City 13 hereby
ordered and directed. to cause notice of said hearing to be gi verJ
in the time, m::mner and form provided in Article 32 A of said
Codified Ordinance No. Five.
I hereby C<~rtlfy tha.t the .s..bove and foregoing resolut:i.on
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of
Palo Alto, Callfornla, at n meet1ng thereof held on the 27th day
of l~ovember, 1950, by the following vote:
