ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City Of Palo Alto, California, that

WHEREAS, the City Manager or the City or Palo Alto did, on
the 22nd day or September, 1950, publicly o·pen, examine and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for the work to be done and improve-
ments to be made, as described and epeo1f1ed in Resolution of
Intention No. 2017 or sa!d Council adopted Auguet 14, 1950, to
which resolution reference is hereby ma~e ror a description of
said work and improvements arld the materials, supplies and equip-ment to be furnished therefor;
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reported his f1nd1ngs to the
Council, which f'1ndirlgs have been duly considered by said Council; and
WHEREAS, the lowest reaponsibJ.e bidder, to-wit: Leo F.
P1azzo Paving Co., has submitted a revised bid, dMted November 10th,
1950, i.n which the ur1it pr1cea are lower than those in his original hid.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED,. as follows:
1. The Co1lncil hereby rejects all of said sealed proposalf1
or bids and hereby awards the contract for doing said work anCI
making said improvements to the lowest reaponsible bidder, to-wit:
LEO F. PIAZZA PAVING CO.
at the pric~s named in its revised bid dated November 10th, 1950.
2. That the Mayor and Clerk or said City of Palo Alto be,
and they ara hereby, authorized to make and enter into a wr1 tt;en
contract with said suceeesrul bidder, and to receive and approve all bonds 1n connection therewith.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy or resolution
adopted by the Council of the Cj.ty of Palo Alto1 Cal!fornia, at a
regular meetin~ thereof held on the 13th day of November, 1950,
by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and 1n favor thereof, Councilmen:
Blois, Bolander, Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Cathca~t, Freedman,
Gaspar, Hill, Linder, Mitchell, Montreuil, Morten, Wickett.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bentrott.
