o~ thn c.:ty of Palo Alto to call a speclal election and submlt
~o t~) electors res1dlng ln the t~rrltory proposed by ~L:ch
p~t:t:on to be annexed to the City of Palo Alto the que8t!on
o~ whether 3~1ch terrltory shall be annexed to, incorporated in
und mude a part of the C!ty of Palo Alto, on Tucaday, the 16th
d~y 0f ~an\iary, 1951.
Section 5. Notice :s hereby given that any person
ownln1~~ re.:tJ. property w.~ th.Ln ~;uch terrL tory 30 proposed to be
annexed und having any objection to the proposed annexat!on,
may .:it any t"'..rnc· not lnter than the hour herein set for th::-
hcarlni:~ .• 1m:i.::(~ written protest aF;.:i..~nst the proposed annexritlon
and may ~ppc3r before the City Councll of the City of Palo Alto
!n the Council Chamber in the City Hall or sa!d city, on
MONDAY, the 11th day of December, 1950, at the hour of 7:30 P.M.,
and ~how cause why said t~rritory should not be so annexed.
Section G. That the proceedln~s for said 3nnexation
3hall be had and conducted pursuant to Sections 35,000 to
35,157, inclusive, entitled ''Annexation of Territory," or the
Jovernment Code of the State of Cal!forn1a.
Section 7. Re:'ercnce is hereby made to said pet1t:on
on r:le ln the office of the City Clerk or the City or Palo Alto
:or d0ta~ls an to the bond?d indebtedness of sald city, incurred
or 3::thor!=cd, o~tstandlng on the date of the filing or said
petltion, for wh!ch the territory so propceed to be annexed to
~~ld city will be subject to taxation in the event or annexa-
~:on.
Scct:on 8. The Clty Clerk shall cause a copy or
this resolution to be publ1shed once a week for two successive
weeks prior to the hearing, 1n the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper or general clrculatlon, there being no newspaper of general c1r-
cula~1on ln the terrltory proposed to be annexed.

regularly introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the
Councll of the City or Palo Alto held on Monday, the 13th day or November, 1950> by the following vote:
