RESOLUTION ORAN'l'ING PERMI.SIS!ON TO PROCEED WITH SAN ANTONIO ROAD
AMNBXATION
WHEREAS, a request has been received from certain
residents or the property adjacent to the southeasterly city
limits or the City of Palo Alto :tn the County of Santa Clara,
which territory is hereby designated as "SAN ANTONIO ROAD
ANNEXATION,11 and which 1s described as follows:
All that certain real property situated in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, described as
follows, to wit:
COMMENCING at a point upon the existing boundary
line of the City of Palo Alto, said point being upon the
No:.;'theaaterly line of State Highway S. Cl. rl Route 68,
Sec. A. (commonly known as Bayshore H1~hway) and which
po1nt is the most Southerly corner of an annexation filed
by said City with the Secretary of State of the State of
Cal1!'orn1a on January 30, 194a; thence t'rom said point of
commencement Southwesterly and perpendicularly to said
Highway Line to the Southwesterly line of said Highway;
thence Southeasterly along sal~ Southwesterly line to a
point per?end1cularly dj.etant 330 feet Southeasterly from
the center line of San Antonio Avenue; thence Southerly
and parallel with said center line approximately 1,803 feet
to the Northerly line of Charleston Road; · thence Westerly
along said line o·r Charleston Road to its intersection
with a Northerly prolongation of' the Westerly line or Lot 7
of Tract 219, Peninsula Garden Farms, as shown upon a map
of said Tract recorded at page 7 1n Book 47 of Maps,
Records of Santa Clara County, California; thence Southerly

Boo!<· "O" of Maps, Records of Santa Clara County,
Cal.l.fornia; thence Southwesterly along said prolongation
of sald line of the Bartley Tract to a point upon the
Easterly corner or said Bartley Tract which point ia
upon the existing boundary line of the City of Palo Altoj
thence Northwesterly along the Northeasterl~r line of
said Bartley Tract., which line is upon the ex1at1ng
boundary line of said City of Palo Alto, and continuing
along said boundary line through its various courses
and distances to the point of commencement.
for permission to commence proceedings to have said territory
annexed to the City o:t' Palo Alto under the provisions of the
'Annexation Act of 1913, aa said Act is amended to date; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto has received
a report recommending the annexat1on by said City of the above
described territory to the City of Palo Alto from the Planning
Commission of the City of Palo Alto;
NOW, THEREPORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto DO:IS RESOLVE as follows:
That consent 1s hereby gr~nted to the residents of the
above described area southeast of the City of Palo Alto to
proceed wJth annexation proceedings as outlined 1n the Annexation
Act of 1913, assa.id Act 1s amended to date, for the purpoee of
ultimately having said area annexed to and become a part of the City of Palo Alto.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly passed by the Council of. the City of Palo Alto at a
regular meeting held on the 25th day of September, 1950, by the following vote:
