RESOLV'ED, by the Counc1l of the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, the Council did on the 14th day of August, 1950,
ad()pt 1ts Resolution No. 2017 of Intentlon to order work to be
dor1e and improvements to be made in sa1d C1 ty, all as more par-
t:1.cularl:1 d'e::icrlbed J.nd set forth j.n •ld Resolution of Intention.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to publish :tn the Palo Al to •r1mes, a newspaper or general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in said C1ty and
hereby designated by said Council for that purpose, a Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals for do:i.ng the worl\ and making the
improvements described :l.n said Reeoh.i.tion of Intention, and re-
ferred to the plans and specifications on file in the office of
the City Clerk.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a check pay-
able to the City o! Palo Alto, certified by a responsible bank
for an amount which shall not be less than ten per cent (l~) of
the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for said amount and
so payable, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or two
L'ldiv1dual sureties, who shall justify before any officer com-
petent to admin:tster oaths ,in double ·the said amount, and over
and above all statutory exemptions.
Said seal~d proposals shall be delivered to the Clerk of
srdd C:lty Council, to-~it: the City Clerk, on or before 4:00 p.m.
of Friday, the 22nd day of September, 1950, said time being
not leas than ten days from the time of the first publication
of aa.ld notice. Bids will be opened, examined ai".ld declared on
sa:d day and hour by the City Manager of said City, in the
Cour1c1 l Chambers .:.n the City H"-11 of aaj.d City, who shall report
·1;0 the Council his f:indings, which .findings shall be considered
by taid Council at lts meeting to be held at said place on
Monday, September 25, 1950, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.

I hereby certify the foregolng to be a true copy of resolu-
tion adopted by the City Council of the City or Palo Alto,
California, at a reglllar meeting thereof held on the 28th day
of August, 1950, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen:
Blois, Bolander Bowden, Bower, Cashel, Cathcart, Freedman,
Gaspar, Hill, Mitchell, Montreuil, Wickett.
NOES, Counc:l lrnen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: Bentrott, Linder, Morten.
